Whatever it takes!!!
RSA would start as favourites, IMO. 4 matches are Day nighters, would be interesting to see what part the toss plays in the series.

The toss can be just as important in day games in india, given the movement available to swing bowlers early on.

Funnily enough, it didn't happen at Nagpur in the day game against Sri Lanka on Tuesday last. And it was a 9 AM start as well. And remember, it is the same GREEN TOP Nagpur. Okay, so the pitch was flatter, but still, Vaas got zero swing.

A few South Africans now have experience in the subcontinent. But the current team has shown very poor performances in the subcontinent like in the sereis in Lanka.

India, if it continues the performance in the series vs Lanka, look as if they are back as a one day team of some strength.

India in such circumstances would start as favourites. But it will be interesting to see how South Africa perform after their probable series win vs the Kiwis in the subcontinent now.

This will be an interesting series. I think its pretty 50-50 as to who wins, and if both go on to win their respective ODI series they are currently playing, it'll make for a fascinating limited overs series.

The interesting thing to note here is.. RSA are playing NZ, who are the #3 side in the world (few think they must be #2) and are leading them 3-0. (okay, they are playing at home, but so what) And India are playing the #2 side in the world and are leading them 3-0. Very interesting.....

South Africa are actually now officially #2 in the world Honest. They took over NZ after their win in the 2nd ODI I believe.

I think it just shows what has often been said - in ODI's side A can beat side B on any given day (when you remove Australia, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe)

i'd say its 50-50 for who will win, SA will be weakened by the absense of Gibbs & Boje so we will see how they go...

NZ could just as easily be winning 3-0 currently, but South Africa have done better where it counts so thats the way it is.

Should be a very even series..South Africa will be missing Gibbs of course, not to mention Boje who has been their most reliable spinner.

If you're referring to last year when they toured, that was only a 2 test series and they lost 1-0. They had a really weak team, but some how drew the first test thanks to stupid selection from the Indians and the most boring batting you'll ever see :p

Scared of being detained back by the police regarding some earlier match fixing scandals.. thats as brief as it gets from the news..

Gibbs and Boje

I'd suggest that they go and get it over with, if they don't the stormy cloud will forever be above them and their names will remain tarnished.
