From the viewpoint of the organisers, yes. But the fans apparently dont like twenty20 (thank God for that). There was a tournament organised in Bangalore I think a month or two back, involving a few international players too. I doubt anyone on CW would be aware of that.

Biggest problems I can see are the Caribbean countries (and that Simon Jones couldn't play for England ;-))

He's Martin Bicknell's brother - the only player to score hundreds against all first class counties, I think.

Why does it need to be in the Commonwealth Games.
Why cant it just be a world tournament in its own right?
