200 test wickets for Harbhajan

Salamuddin

International Debutant
Just wondering....how do you guys rate Harby among the great finger spinners to have played the game and how he and Kumble stack up vis a vis Bedi, Chandra and Prasanna.

Well he's far from one of the 'great' finger spinners to play the game. He's got a lot more to accomplish, especially some good performances away from home. But he's still very young, and if he's willing to realise he can improve as he gains more and more experience then hopefully he'll at least become a great of the current times.

Congrats to Harbhajan, awesome achievement.

Congrats to probably the best finger-spinner in the world currently (assuming Murali isn't a conventional finger-spinner). Still, after the Aus 01 series, it looked like he'd be incredible...but he's merely good.

Yeah..though i think that is unrealistic expectations...the OZ series was one of those utter domination series that you dont have more than a few times in your entire career.....
though he is definately in the second tier of spinners today (beind Murali, Warney and Kumble), he is an excellent potential for developing into a worldclass spinner- he is still pretty young and has a lotta time left for a spinner.... him and Kaneria have shown a lot of potential.

Whatever it takes!!!
I hope he uses that around the wicket line a lot more. It certainly adds something new to his bowling and makes him more of a threat than he is at the moment. He swings between ordinary and brilliant so often. I hope he becomes more consistently brilliant.

He's highly temperamental, but if he gets his act together, he can be counted as one of the game's best.
