How can you not have Lara in your top ten. He only has the highest score in both test and first class cricket (something even Bradman didn't acheive!)

    This is my list:

    Batsmen:

    1. Don Bradman
    2. Barry Richards
    3. Garry Sobers
    4. Viv Richards
    5. Sachin Tendulker
    6. Jack Hobbs
    7. Brian Lara
    8. Graeme Pollock
    9. Greg Chappell
    10. Sunil Gavasakar

    Bowlers:

    1. Sydney Barnes
    2. Dennis Lillie
    3. Malcom Marshall
    4. Shane Warne
    5. Imran Kahn
    6. Richard Haddle
    7. Muttiah Muralitharan
    8. Ray Lindwall
    9. Wasim Akram
    10. Waqar Younis
This is almost perfect. For the batting I'd have Graem Pollock higher and Jack Hobbs. I'd also put Muralitharan higher for bowling.

    Yes he did.

Bradman's 334 at Headingley in 1930 broke the highest individual innings record in Tests, and he had already beaten Ponsford's first class record of 437 in the previous Sheffield Shield season with 452*.

Also curious as to how Bill O'Reilly is a lesser spinner than Chandrasekhar, Bedi and Gupte.

    Indeed.

His 'pre 1960s players were crap' theory is getting rather tedious.

I think he met Bradman never scored 501 in first class cricket and also he never scored 375 or 400 in Test cricket.

    Batsmen:
    Bradman
    Sobers
    Tendulkar
    Gavaskar
    Lara
    Chappell
    Hammond
    Hobbs
    Weekes
    Richards

(Richards rated low because although I never saw him bat live, his stats don't impress me at all. He probably was great but I never saw him live and can only go on stats).

    Bowlers:
    Barnes
Lohmann (joke, great SM though )
    Lillee
    Warne, O'Reilly (equal I think)
    Marshall
    Garner
    McGrath
    Ambrose
    Muralitharan
    Grimmett

He would be on an 'unlucky to miss out' list, might get in ahead of Grimmett, not sure.
