Both at their peak.................... oh man....................I can't do it.

Wasim probably did it in a greater variety of conditions but sheesh, you're talking about two of my favourite bowlers. I was always a bigger fan of Waqar so purely on that basis, I'll pip for him.

I'm gonna say Waqar at his peak but it took its toll on his body. But Wasim career wise.

Waqar in his prime, phew, it just doesn't get any better than that. SR of 43 in tests anyone?
I Wonder how low it was pre injury days.

Wasim.

Waqar was great but feasted on the minnows whilst at his peak.

Wasim did everything that Waqar did but with more bounce, longevity and had the added benefit of being a left hander.

And i guess in few years there will be thread here like Waseem vs IKP!!

AS far as Waseem vs Waqar, i would go for Waseem. Waqar usually use to polish off the tail, while Akram use to do the hard work against real batters.

It was around that tour to Australia that problems really started kicking in.

Anyway, the only country against whom he failed to excell during that period was Australia - hardly the best team in the world at that moment.

Of course, statistics should always be taken with a table-full of salts. To equate Zimbabwe's then batting line-up with their current one, or bangladesh's for that matter, is a grave insult to the likes of Alistair Campbell, Houghton, the flower brothers and Guy Whital.

Wasim for me. Waqar at his best was totally devastating, but as mentioned he sometimes just didn't come to the party, and his injuries ruined him as a bowler. Wasim was far more consistent and had more ways to get you out, and he lasted for far longer at his best.

UTTER RUBBISH!

Both happen to be great bowlers, difficult to say who was better at the peak, but i think Waqar had the edge over Akram.
