Okay, so Take away Andrew Strauss, Kevin Pieterson, Geriant and Simon Jones, and what are you left with? An English Cricket Team.

Kevin Pieterson uses all of our Academy money here in South Africa, and moves the first oppertunity he gets. (Maybe our coaches should have taught him to catch before he left)

I can understand Strauss leaving, he left when he was five, Fair Deal.

Geriant Jones comes from Australasia, and Simon Jones is Welsh...

What's up with that!?

The Kolpak rule is a disgrace to sports as all of the talent in less developed countries are being lost to England... Is this the spirit of cricket!? SCRAP KOLPAK!!!

Maybe if he would have been given a chance in the team instead of the "token black player" taking his spot.

Come on.

in today's world, that is hardly relevant. movement of people across borders is not a rarity nor are those who come over, themselves or their parents, any less English (or West Indian or whatever) than those who came a million years ago.

There are no real Australians left in Australia by your logic. And America has no americans playing for them (hardly) and Chanderpaul, Kanhai, Sarwan, Ramadin are not West indians and so on.

Chanderpaul, Kanhai, Sarwan, Ramadin didnt get the Indian Government to spend moolah training them to play for some other country.

It's the way it's always been.

The first-ever international cricket match between England and Australia had FIVE Englishmen (or rathe UK) in the Australian side.

Note, this is not a sly dig at the Aussies - just consigning your rubbish to the trashcan of history.
