Right then people..all of you who said Flintoff wasnt good enough to do well vs Australia ..time for you all to be man enough to admit you were wrong.

Any takers for most important all round performance vs Australia since..well...whenever (Botham 81???)

Flintoff was number one all rounder in the world before this series..and has now stretch the lead....Kallis, Oram,Afridi..eat his dust :D

C'mon just admit you were wrong people..you know who you are!!!! :D

pietersen is our best batsman.
I couldnt say that cause pietersen isnt proven yet. Thats a bit like saying that micheal clarke was australias best batsman after his debut in india..

One of the finest allround performances for England against any team. Tremendous stuff. No centuries or 5w hauls, but still, exceptional.

You Aussies are an embarrasement. Keep on predicting 3-0, 4-0, 5-0 series wins and then making yourselves look very stupid.

Outplayed... all game... just go cry in a corner .

yeah...has I have said to people like Richard before (well actually only Richard)..you have to judge an innings in context of what was happening at the time..

Those last 30 odd runs by Flintoff today may well turn out to be the most important 30 any England batsman has scored for 25 years, they knocked the stuffing right out of Australia, and may be the key runs in the first test since 1981 vs Australia where England have levelled a series up...people still talk about that innings vs SA when he batted with Harmison...todays play will be talked about for a hell of a lot longer

Flintoff got lucky because Mcgrath wasn't there and Gillespie is shot to pieces thesedays.

So it wasn't really V Australia. None of their other bowlers are any good except Warne.

How well did Flintoff do in the first test when Aus had their better bowling attack?

in all honesty not many of the wise Aussies here have predicted that kind of win for Australia.....

Blah blah blah........ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.
Boringly predictable. Some people should give up posting while they still have an ounce of credibility left.
Way too late for this chump, but a good warning for others.

Come on - no-one could be so consistently silly as you appear to be. It's an act, isn't it?

If it is, well done, you've fooled me. If it isn't, this drivel is just making you look a complete and utter prat.

Either way, give it a rest for five minutes.

No I'm not, you're looking like a jumping the gun gloating winner, ignoring the fact that Australia's only decent seamer wasn't present to coincide with Flintoff slogging a few sixes.

The way it's going it looks like Shane Warne might play a knock similar to that of Flintoff, so then he'll be in contention for best allrounder in the world.

Anyone can smash the likes of the ancient, decripid Gillespie around, and it would be easier to make a list of anyone who hasn't sent Lee to all parts.

Don't be silly. Most of the Aussies on here have more than a little common sense. They might steal bread but they know their cricket. The consensus has been round about 3-1 - and that's with McGrath in the side. Perhaps it will be closer, perhaps not.

Hang about. Didn't you start that moronic 'Ashes are coming home' thread as your first-ever post on CricketWeb, based on a single Twenty20 international?

Well, there goes your credibility.

:p

You can only play what is in front of you and boy did freddy do that. If Glenn bowled jaffers first ball blah blah we would be out for 0, but that doesn't happen does it!! The fact that everyone bar warne is good means we are better therefore, great!
