i was very impressed with some performances.

but should i be?

if englands main side could bowl line and length so consistently i would be thrilled :D

i like broad, (guy that took 3 :) the wickie davies, harmison and chopra.

to me they all look likely to have excellent careers...i really like chopra's style.

Langeveldt

Soutie
Don't forget they were bowling at Zoysa and co and not Gilchrist and Ponting..

I'd look good if you put me up against bad enough opposition, its all relative

"you can only play what is put before you".

Don't worry about it, Langeveldt goes through these extreme phases of loathing, indifference and love of various things, give it a few more months and there'll be a quote saying "Twenty20 is the best thing since sliced bread" and some other comment saying how Langeveldt wished he were a lass so he could have KP's babies.

i dont necissarily love 20/20 but the person that wrote that must surely see the benefits of 20/20 cricket.

the snobbish attitude towards people in general is completely ignorant.

dont get me wrong...i am elitist and not a socialist...but by alienating an potentially gigantic audience for cricket is like putting iron-pad locked pants on the sport.

somehow i very much doubt that either of those great prophecies of yours will come to reality, unless of course you have invented more definitions for words and applied them without informing us.

Broad and Smith the opening bowlers looked great, any batsmen would struggle against solid line and length like that. I just hope they put on some pace, cos high 70's wont be good enough unless your name is Glen McGrath or Shaun Pollock :)

Wasnt THAT impressed with Harmison. Running up to the wicket he looks almost identicle but the actual bowling action is completely different and imo results in the reason why he's so much slower and also has no control.

I've championed Steven Davies on here before so i wont go on :) but he looked fantastic, although he didnt look great once the spinner came on, who to his credit was turning it miles in conditions you wouldnt back a spinner in.

Don't worry. I gather whatever polysyllabic words I use the likelihood is that the definitions, going by a dictionary consensus or otherwise, would be well beyond your comprehension anyway.

Have to say that SL looked pretty woeful in the field. Really poor. 1s turned into 2s & several 2s turned into 4s.

Chopra looks to have something about him; Ben Harmison I saw smack a lovely straight six & then run himself out with a v optimistic single. Broad I saw v little of, except in the highlights. Looked military-medium pace, bur mercifully bore little facial resemblance to his old man.

Chopra and Tom Smith certainly look like they could.
But I've never been one to base too much on under-19 cricket until the results are backed-up in the First-Class and List-A OD game.

Admittedly I only saw the last one-dayer, but if that's anything to go by I'd say we're looking at innings victories for us. The standard of the Sri Lankan fielding was absolutely shocking.

Well.. Sri Lanka's full side's fielding can be terrible at times, but it can also be brilliant.
