Currently Lara.
Overall nothing to split them IMO.

Brian Lara is a 10 times better player than Sachin Tendulkar considering that Lara plays for a very weak side and always bats under presssure in the middle overs.Bian Lara is probably the best batsman in the history of cricket followed by Sir Don Bradman. There is no match winning innings to Tendulkar's name and he doen't have the capability to play good innings in critical siuations.Rahul"The Wall" Dravid is the best batsman in Indian side rather than Sachin Tendulkar.

Ditto, agree on the Dravid point though, as far as test cricket is involved.

I'd have to say Lara. He's the modern day Headley. Tendulkar's kinda like the same for Bradman.

Lara is more exciting to watch if you can guarentee that he will make runs, but if you wanted someone to bat for your grannies life it would be Tendulkar.

Lara has saved many a match. Including one for England when he batted on for two and half days to selfishly get to 400.
