The Problem with English cricket

Too much cricket is played in the county system and I think it's the main reason that the English fast bowlers are struggling for fitness. The burn out factor.

I doubt the Aussie quicks play the number of games the English guys play in a summer in a year.

Still despite the huge loss this week it is apparent that the side is improving and will continue to do so. Maybe next series will be the one to restore the Ashes battle to a true competition.
Its gonna happen sooner or later, you can just feel England waiting till the last Waugh's gone and then suddenly a great big noose around their neck will go. Ponting and Martyn are fine players but they don't have the record or the "aura" that the Waugh's had over England.
