Inness moves from Victoria to WA

Inness completes a move from Victoria to WA, his signed a 2 year contract. I think it is a good move for both him and WA. He should have a good chance to cement a regular at WA. Also he should add some more experience to the WA pace attack, last season they had three rookies in their pace attack.

I started an off season thread, so i how it stops all those one off thread that keep coming up.

It is a good move for him. Lets hope he can stay injury free.

Now I bet Marc's uncle will have to learn who he is :p

(for those who don't know IIRC Marc has an uncle who is a WACA member, but has never heard of Inness).

Very good move for him. W.A. might actually have a chance of backing up the big scores the always rack up.

Agree with him moving to WA although he should watch out as the WACA's record for looking after players once their usefulness diminishes a little is somewhat woeful, even for their 'favourite sons'.

A prediction; Xav Doherty to be in the top 3 wicket-takers next year.

Have heard from another source damien mckenzie has joined tasmania, but thats just hearsay.
I hope not, he is one of my favourite players in Qld. But if he does it will be a good move for him. With Watson, Symonds & Hopes regular fixtures in the Bulls side there is really no room for an extra paceman.

That is correct Craig - and this was around the time someone was calling for him to play for Australia, in spite of being anonymous!

Maybe if he was playing on the Sydney turners. He`s very good, mind. :)

The vics pace attack looks weak now innes is gone, wonder who will be their 3 pacemen especially since harwood is getting the sack.

Good move for him, he wasn't in our best XI anyway as Wise had overtaken him.

Our bowling stocks are fine, Lewis and Wise with the new ball. McDonald, Moss and Harvey and medium fast bowlers and then White and Warne as spinners.

Have still got Rob Cassell and Gerard Denton as back up too.

Yeah, we should be alright, but remember that Hodge, Harvey and (to a lesser extent) Moss are still up in the air :P Our poor batting!

Argh! Brad Knowles would've been playing Pura Cup cricket this year.

well.......... Victoria look like they wont have such great side this season
I dont see how Inness' depature would make you say that. He isnt in the first XI anyway. Wise, Knowles and Lewis are all ahead of him, and with Harvey in their side batting high-ish, they often pick an allrounder to be third seamer, so I couldnt see Inness getting a run anyway.

Knowles isn't any more. Knee reconstruction, goooone for the year.

Interesting that Victoria have 8 rookies this year. That's an amazing number.

Thats no good... I liked the look of him in the ING Cup. Its a real shame really. Looks like McDonald will be a regular again, and most likely being picked as a specialist bowler at that...

I'd suggest that Cameron Huckett will play games this year. Equal leading wicket-taker last year in grade cricket.

Nah, the squad hasn't been officially named.

Also, 90% sure that Harwood isn't in it, even with Inness leaving.
