Heh. Yeah, Bracken's 3 tests against India on flat pitches where he got belted clearly show absolutely all his class. Blignaut, if you discount Bangladesh, has 38 wickets at about 40 in test cricket (39.29, to be exact), from 14 tests. Bracken has 6 @ 58.50, in 3 tests. Do you honestly believe, and this is a serious question, that if Bracken played another 11 tests he would maintain an average in the high 50s?.

assuming he didnt play on seamer friendly wickets, no i dont think he would. i'd expect it to be higher, in the salisbury division, because thats how appaling a player he actually is!
and surprise surprise, when blignaut played india at home, he managed to come up with an average of 27.9, including dismissing dravid twice caught behind and tendulkar once.

Even in First-Class cricket, despite the fact that Blignaut's opposition playing for the mighty Mashonaland was about a hundred times poorer than what Bracken has faced for New South Wales during his FC career, Blignaut averages 9 runs more per wicket with his 35 than Bracken's 26. If you honestly think Blignaut is anywhere near his equal as a bowler, you need your head checked.

not to mention of course you are comparing 2 different first class systems, which by all means is always inaccurate. bracken can do whatever he wants in domestic cricket on seamer friendly wickets, fact is he couldnt hurt a fly on a non seamer friendly wicket, even if he tried.

england clearly has the best attack after australia, but other than the aussies, no country really has a consistently world class attack in world cricket right now....the game has become so batsman-oriented that great bowlers are just not coming up that often anymore....

He was consistantly injurred throughout the whole summer. He never got back to full fitness.
