Ganguly for next Indian coach

Since the guy can't seem to handle the playing side of things any more, how about appointing him to run the tactical side of things? Seems like it will provide perfect continuity after the departure of John Wright.

I'd be absolutely shocked if anything productive comes out of this thread. It remains unsnapped for now though.

He has absolutely no coaching experience and is still a regular player AFAIK. That really would be a very strange move.

well considering he seems quite often tactically naive, I dont think he would be a good man running the tactical side of things...any way, isnt that what the captain out on the firld is meant to do

Come on, it is a perfectly reasonable proposition here. Fulham Football Club did it with Chris Coleman. An inspirational captain and leader for the team - could no longer play effectively on the pitch due to an injury he suffered from a car crash. What did Fulham do? They appointed him as their coach after the sacking of their previous manager Jean Tigana.

Please stop making stupid threads on Indian cricket. There is a thread to discuss the Indian coach. Some one already suggested the stupid idea of Ganguly coaching on which SJS gave an apt reply.

Cheers.

They did that purely as a money saving idea - it was fortune that meant he turned out to be OKish at the job.

Of course, that's different to Ganguly who is still playing.

Anyways I agree, Stop making stupid threads.
There was nothing wrong with a thread on Raina when many on individual players have been made of all teams to discuss them.

How about Kaif for physio then? He has hardly done anything productive in ODIs for a long time now, and there's even talk about how long should he be persisted with. Given his exceptional fitness and fielding skills, why not drop him from the side, and make him the physio?
