There was a series on cricinfo or maybe the old Wisden site a while ago, which featured the worst batsmen. Anyway, poor old Pommie Mbangwa was declared the worst batsman in Test cricket - he scored 34 runs in 15 Tests at an average of 2.00, and SR of 17.61. Of his 25 innings', he scored 13 zeros (including four zero not outs), three ones, four twos, two threes, one four, one five and one glorious eight. :)

This is insane, longest FC sequence without scoring:

"In 1990, Mark Robinson (of Northants.) started the season with
1*, 0* and 1, then produced the sequence of 0, 0*, 0*, 0*, 0*,
0*, 0, 0, 0, 0*, 0*, and 0. He finished the season by scoring 1
in his final innings, after 12 0's. This is the record sequence
of innings without scoring."

Harmison's decent, averages over 11, and once top-scored in an innings for England with 42.

Harmison, 287runs @ 11.03 in 28 matches

McGrath 556 runs @ 7.12 in 109 matches.

though Harmison has a better record as a number 10, he only averages 10.93 as no 11.

What about Murali? He's a quality slogger. He tonked Warne, Macgill and Gillespie around last year, not many people can make that claim. ;)

Chandrasekhar must be up (down?) there when it comes to all-time rabbits.

Although he averaged a "healthy" 4.07 in tests (bouyed somewhat by 39 NOs in 80 innings), he actually took more wickets (242) than he scored runs (167)!

i genuinly think that the team would be stronger without chris martin and go with ten men.

You're forgetting the CWXI in this list, aren't you? :ph34r:

There is no way Cremer should be included. Hes quite a handy batsman infact (hasnt shown it at internation level yet though) with a solid defence.

Also, if he IS to be included in that list, he should bat third on that list... to say he is a worse batsman than McGrath would be enough for him to give up batting altogether.

Ok so lets just completely change the best XI's so our number 11's are better batsmen? Bond would always bat above Martin and Sami would always bat above Kaneria. They're not genuine number 11's

Martin wouldn't be in the team if Bond was fit.. he has played all his cricket, basically, at number 11

I don't think u can call guys like Zoysa, Khan, Bond No 11, they may have batted a lot of their career at No 11 but their a lot better batsmen then No 11. If ur going to make a No XI side then they all have to be rabbits. This would be may side:

5. A Donald

Chris martin is worse than morrison. Remember Danny morrison batted for almost a day to save a test, that was amazing, Chris Martin could never do that.
