OK, here's the deal.

You can have 5 matches, with any players(past or present, mine will be present) in any teams, with any format, at any ground, and if you wish, any umpires or other little things like that.

My 2 teams:

Team 1

A Strauss
M Trescothick
B Lara
B Hodge
J Kallis
A Gilchrist+
A Flintoff
A Agarkar*
S Warne
S Harmison
G McGrath

12th Man: S Jones

Team 2

V Sehwag
M Vaughan*
S Tendulkar
K Pietersen
P Collingwood
G Jones+
S Pollock
A Giles

I think a great current series would be a test match series (6 day tests) with the teams:
Aus test team vs combined Asian test team vs combined SA,Eng,NZ,WI test team. I can't really decide on a venue but I would say better to have one conutry as the venue for the whole series so that the players are not constantly having to adjust to different conditions.

I agree, the second team is too weak. A dream series would be a tri-series... Australia vs South Asia vs Rest of the World. Now that would be entertaining! It would consist of three Twenty20 matches, 7 ODIs and 5 tests.

Venue - The Wanderers or Centurion Park or Potch'
Umpires - Billy Bowden and Simon Taufel

Cant be bothered to sort teams out, but they would be picked roughly from this pool of players, not based on strength, but personal liking :D

Daren Ganga
Brendon Taylor
Abraham de Villiers
Neil McKenzie
Boeta Dippenaar
Rahul Dravid (capt)
Matthew Sinclair
Mark Boucher
Moin Khan
Justin Kemp
Ray Price
Shane Warne
Stewart MacGill
Jermaine Lawson
Fidel Edwards
Dewald Pretorius
Nicky Boje
Jermaine Lawson
Steve Harmison
Charl Langeveldt
Dale Steyn

Dream series? Either the West Indies of 1984 against Australia of 2001 or today, or an all time XI matchup.

1st XI
Jack Hobbs
Herbert Sutcliffe
Viv Richards
Walter Hammond
Greg Chappell
Steve Waugh
Imran Khan
Alan Knott
Richard Hadlee
Alan Davidson
Muttiah Muralitharan

2nd XI
Len Hutton
Sunil Gavaskar
Donald Bradman
George Headley
Brian Lara
Gary Sobers
Adam Gilchrist
Keith Miller
Shane Warne
Sydney Barnes
Glenn McGrath

Tried to match them up reasonably evenly. I'd pick the second XI to win, though.

Match C

60 over ODI

Eden Gardens, Chennai,India
Umpires: B Bowden, D Bird
Eden Gardens, Kolkata, India. Although the Chidambaram, Chennai would be a better choice IMO.

Cricket, Lovely Cricket
I would like to see

Bradman's Invincibles versus Clive Lloyd's West Indies

Format of play - 5 tests

I dont think it gets better than that.

And it would be one series in a neutral venue which would be played to packed houses.

Mine would have to be a match up home and away between two of the best teams ever at their peak Australia( 99-present) and the WI( 76-84). Home and away five tests each:

[/B]Aust WI
Hayden Greenidge
Langer Haynes
Ponting Richards
M Waugh Kallicharan
S Waugh Lloyd
D Martyn Gomes
A Gilchrist Dujon
S Warne Marshall
B Lee Holding
J Gillespie Roberts
G Mcgrath Garner

The tests at the traditional test venues for Aust. that would be: WACA, Gabba, SCG, MCG, Adelaide Oval; WI: ARG, Sabina, Kensington, Quenns PArk and Bourda. The West Indies in Australia will play as conditions are now with flat wickets everywhere except for the bouncy perth wicket and spinner friendly SCG. Australia will play in the WI as conditions were in the 80s: bouncy uneven wickets all around. I suspect AUST to win at home 3-2 and WI to win in their home 3-1.
