The worst last five overs bowlers in ODI's!!

Here is a follow up on a similar batsman's thread.

Similarly the condition here is that these should be regular bowlers expected to bowl their ten overs in a fifty over game.

Sehwag, Tendulkar, Ganguly and their type do not qualify.

Assuming then that they have to be bowlers who regularly bowl out their 10? Well, Symonds springs to mind as someone who I wouldn't mind bowling in the middle overs but I don't trust at all at the death. Kabir Ali did a pretty shocking job at the death recently against South Africa as well.

Oh, hell, any NZ medium pacer who isn't Bond.

Adams is leagues beyond Tuffey and Mills for Death bowling.

He routienly bowls at 3-4 rpo in the first 25 overs and then gets taken apart in the death...so much so that lara is forced to use him in the middle.

Ha.

This myth surrounding how Adams is a specialist ODI death bowler is pure mystery. When he does bowl at the death for NZ, he bowls waist-high leg side full tosses. As demonstrated by him against Pakistand last year.

Is that post meant to be sarcastic mate?

I remember Vaas bowling Sri Lanka to victory against Australia last year with a brilliant display of death bowling....

yeah maybe once.....but ovearall he is not good at all...i rememeber a couple of years ago he used to bowl in the depth and give around 15 - 20 runs for the last over or two. maybe now he's abit better..but trust me he was crap.

I remember Arjuna used to give Muralil and Jayasiriya to bowl the last 5 becuase Vass was crap.

Very, very good point.
Why on Earth anyone would pick Vaas over Jayasuriya to bowl at the death I'll never know.
If it was me I'd just bowl his 10 straight through, IMO that is best for him and therefore for the side.
I'll never forget Klusener walloping 22 off his last over in WC99. A bit sad, really, he'd bowled fantastically before that.
