Sports Challenge - Golfer or Cricketer?

Imagine a contest between the fittest men from both sports head to head in a race over 100 metres. The "hare" would be Richie Benaud driving a ride on lawnmower with a kebab dangling from the back of the machine.

So who DO we think would win a match race between John Daly and Shane Warne?

Richie would have to watch his speed otherwise, like in dog racing when the lure gets too far ahead, these two plodders would lose interest and go back to their cigar smoking, putter thowing, text messaging and all round plodding.

Yerss indeed the young man raises a very good point there. All this cigar smoking and intoxication. I've said it many times the problem doesn't lie with the pitch or any of that nonsense. It's the grog. Get rid of the grog and you'll see a proper contest.

Much as I think Warne is a plonker........the only places Daly would have run in his life is in and out of casinos

hahaha, ummmm I think your choice of the 'fittest' may be slightly flawed. I'd go with Warne, because I've never seen John Daly run anywhere.

Warne

Yes Warne is bristling with athleticism and VO2 Max...(sorry I meant Pepsi there). But whether he's up there with Sebastian Coe, well maybe we'll never get our answer. One of those wondrous "What If"s situations. What a race it would be between those two. I suspect though that Shane would eventually wear down Sebastian over Shane's final forty eight schooners.
