just a couple of quick notes on the timing v power debate...........
a batsman who is better able to time the ball will usually be more consistantly successful than one who relys primarily on power............... Bevan was not a big hitter or power player, yet in ODIs he was amongst the best both in terms of averages, strike rates & consistant performances............ a power player like Afridi & Co will be spectacular on their day like a blazing comet, but will also have the same consistency.............. |
