are you blind? point out 1, just one inning where hayden has scored on a seamer friendly wicket, and i'll admit that i was wrong. fact is everytime hes played on it, hes looked like a complete novice, and ive proved it to you by showing you far more than 2-3 games.

kaspa didnt bowl better than lee in the vb series, because he wasnt picked. no surprise though that kaspa had an ER of 4.09 while lee had an ER of 4.59 in the vb series either.

depending on the conditions. but kaspa would play ahead of lee every single time.
Lee would be one of the 5 best odi bowlers in the world at the moment ...Kaspa wouldn't

In hindsight to the heated debates in this thread........perhaps TEC did have a point about hayden and seaming pitches or was it just a loss in form?? Although Lee didn't have a great ashes with the ball.....I think its fair to say he's proved a better asset than Kasper

well dont want to start up any arguement, but looking at them now the one's who i think who might have excelled in other teams are:

Kasper - he may have had more than 200 test wickets now
MacGill - surely
Symonds - looking at Symo these days i think he could make a decent test batsman
Mike Hussey - would be a solid test opener for most sides
Lehmann - could have scored more than 5000 test runs for any other country
Harvey - i reckon i would have been a fixture in msot teams ODI side
Lee - his test record may not be great, but i still believe he can make most international sides, and they would be reluctant to drop a player like him
Law - looking at all the runs he scored in state cricket and CC and player like that could have surely played about 50 tests for most sides
Bevan - he may have been an ODI specialist for Australia & averages just about 30 in the few test he played but in another country he would have played 100 test surely

Would be a bit coincidental if it happened to coincide with the conditions TEC predicted would be his undoing though...

Bevan would have been a gun in another side or Australia from about 6 years ago til now, he averages something like 70 or 80 in fc cricket in that period

In the one-day series against England before the Ashes (notably the Natwest challenge final), Lee bowled brilliantly taking two early wickets (despite almost killing Trescothick with a 91 mph beamer).

Also i believe that Lee has one of the best ODI strike-rates ever?

Kaspa's SR since his return is nearly as good, despite having a significantly better ER.

Yes, because MacGill and Lee's records are so fantastic, aren't they? And for your information, between his debut and 2003\04, Lee missed 2 Tests due to the team being (correctly) deemed stronger without him - so I hardly see that he'd have played any more for anyone else than he has for Australia.
And personally I highly doubt Symonds would have been successful playing in England in the mid-90s (the only other country he could have played for) and I certainly don't think he'd have a hope in hell of doing well in Sri Lanka or India.
Before this most recent Test, it was being realised that MacGill is nothing but an extremely ordinary bowler who wouldn't get anywhere near a decent Test-team. Sadly people now seem to have gone back to the "but for Warne he'd have played 100 Tests" rubbish.
hahahahahahaha funny man i like it and tend to agree
but as much of a lamer as macgill is hes ok hes traditional type leggie tosses it up turns it square bowls some rubbish bowls some peaches. But i agree with you on a lot of what you said.
