Nkala bowled really well today and Bashar just missed out on a car. Would have been his fourth test century. None the less a great day for Bangladesh but they've been in these situations before and blown it. Rajin needs to go on and get support from Aftab/Mashud/Rafique/Tapash

Stumps - Day One: Bangladesh 4/280 (Bashar 94, Rajin 60*, Nafis 56)

Here is hoping Bangladesh record their first test win. Although i didnt stay online for the last 15 odd overs in the day, I did however notice that in that period they made more than 70 runs. Quite impressive. They are heading for their highest test total for one innings, but am not sure what that currently stands at.

They hit around 450 against West Indies earlier this year. Bashar and Rafique hit centuries

interesting enough , in both odi and test mathces Bangladesh's lowest total is better than all other test playing nations.

Hopefull Banglandish can make a 500 something total, and maybe be comepetive for once!
Hmmm.... Bangladesh has been competitive a few times before...

Against the West Indies they played ok cricket. They almost beat Pakistan in a couple of Tests a couple years ago and they did compete far better than expected against Australia. Not to mention their first ever Test, when they didn't look as bad a team as they turned out to be.

They have been playing for only 4 years. Other teams have played a lot more over many more years. Just be thankful Bangladesh have never had to face the Windies' bowlers of the 80's .

BD just crossed their top score ever. Rafiq and Mashrafee are banging zimbabwe bowlers.

"After 6.3 overs, Banglandish are all out for 2, And Country Welsh had taken all 10 wickets, The Windies have won this match on the first bowl! A damn easy win for Clive Lloyd and his Windies."

That would be 1983

As for Banglandish, I think they'll whitewash Zimbabware, I hope they do.

At least try to pass 500!

VERY GOOD BANGLANDISH!

Who is Country Welsh? Courtney Walsh wasn't playing Tests in 1983. And who are Banglandish and Zimbabware? :p
That's the end of it then, Bangladesh all out for 488. Solid contributions throughout, Bashar 94, Rajin Saleh 89, Rafique 69, Nafis 56, Mashud 49, Mashrafe 48, Javed 33 and Ashraful 19 all making double figures. Looks as though Zimbabwe might struggle against a reasonably strong bowling attack with two left-arm spinners in Rafique and Enamul Haque Jr., and the pace of Mashrafe and Tapash. Taibu, Rogers, Taylor and Masakadza are Zimbabwe's main hopes IMO.

Little bit disappionting in a big total like that nobody has got a 100.

This is the time for the likes of Rogers and Taylor to shine.
