Domestic vs international A

It seems when it comes to international A games,the 6's and Academy cricket tours during the australian domestic season don't occur,cricket australia prefers the australian domestic season.
Australia A games during the Australia season do not conflict with domestic games,and there are generally only 2 or 3 played,with maybe a Australia A vs a touring side every 3 0r 4 years.The Australia A team only plays generally every 3/4 years just before the world cup.The next time Australia A will play is in an International A tournament in Darwin in 2006 where 3 other International A sides will take part.
They have even reduced the games the 2nd xl competition so they don't come into conflict with the domestic games.
You can say if it works why fix it,but is this a good or bad thing,should Australia A play more games and tour internationally.

they have always played the touring sides in a couple of one dayers, plus the tour match in hobart every year. I dont think they really need to play much more than that...

i suggested this in another thread, but all test teams should have "a" teams who tour and play games against each other and against the minnows, and provide warm-up matches for tests and ODIs. it would also allow greater exposure to different countries and pitch types before playing at test level.

Would be good for australia to try out some combinations before the world cup,playing maybe against a full strenth kenya side,india A,south africa A or nz A.
