OK, here's a nice easy one: Who has been runout the most in both tests and ODIs? No cheating with cricinfo or google!

Please do.

I was thinking of Frank Chester. His debut was just before the first WW. Frank Foster led Warwickshire to their first Championship title in 1911. And Chester did take part in the War. The only problem was that, after checking his profile, I found that Chester played for Worcestershire, not Warwickshire.

Would never have got it. I am vaguely familiar with the name because he was, IIRC, among the first bunch of players to score 1000 runs in an Indian first class season (with the MCC side in India 1926/7) but knew nothing else.

There was a recent book about an ancient English cricketer's tour of Australia in around 1900, written by one of his great grandchildren. Was it him ?

Not sure about the book about the 1900s mate?

I picked the book up about Parsons cheap, for two reasons 1. it was signed by the author Gerald Howat and 2. because I enjoy his writing, a good book about a brave man, and yes he served in India and later toured there.
