It is FC de Saram whose name I have already indicated in the second post in answer to this question.

He played for Oxford university against the visiting Australians and scored a hundred against Grimmett and Orielly. Of his 128 runs, 96 were scored in boundaries(18 fours and four sixes.). His 128 was scored of a total innings score of 216.

In 1962, by which time he had put away his kit for good, he was a key figure in the right-wing, military-aided attempt to unseat the democratically elected government of S.W.R.D. Bandarnaike. The coup failed, and De Saram was incarcerated for a long time in Colombo jail.
Apologies for not reading that post properly and missing that bit!!
Yes that was the correct answer.
Well done.

It was Colonel FC Derrick De Saram!! your turn :) .

By the way, he appears to have been a magnificient batsman, a genius from all indications. Its amazing how little is known of him.
