Hi,
I would love to have some advice regarding new bat preparation and taking care of them during off season. I got a SS Ton Players Edition bat, knocked in well and feels really great now. But after knocking I can see the grains are separating and the thin layer of bat face surface wood is coming off, I presume it's normal for cricket bat when they are ready. My question is whether I should use a sand paper and sand that thin layer of the face or should I just keep my bat face sheet and do nothing ?
Thanks for your support.
