Hey everyone,
I'm a batsman for my local club (Z Grade) in my 3rd year.
Being a new player, I got placed in nearly every single batting position available over the last 2 seasons. I'm now at the stage where the club recognises me as a batsman and as such want to nail down a top 6 spot.
Thing is, due to my style I'm not too sure where to bat. I'm the sort of player that pushes it around for ones and twos mostly but always have the temptation of being aggressive. Sometimes it pays off, sometimes it doesn't.
When I opened a few times last year, I stuck around for a while (10 overs minimum) but made very low scores (5-10), when I batted at 5 and 6, I scored more (15-25) but was out in the blink of an eye (3-4 overs) Never batted at 3 or 4.
It's pretty much when I open, I stick around but don't score, completely the opposite when I'm at 5 or 6.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers
