    Make Your Own Cricket Bat

Has anybody actually tried to make their own bat?

I've seen a website that will ship of partially shaped clefs for willing participants like me to try and make their own cricket bat.. Obviously I don't have all the specialist tools or expertise but my Dads got a decent range with I think will do the trick..

    Any thoughts/experiences in this?

    Batting is simple (3W's):
    Watch it
    Wait for it
    WHACK IT!

My advice would be to check out local cricket boutique bat makers, most of them will let you use their tools and facilities to make your own bat for a price.

Would be a pretty good experiance IMO
