Got a new Grey Nicolls Grade A English Willow bat.
As part of new bat prepration, i finished the oiling process & started knocking in with a wodden mallet.I see the face of the bat chipping(lifting) out vertically along the grains ( right in the middle of the face) & even on the edge. I could take it back to the shop..but the ping on this bat is awesome... it feels great. But really concerned abount the chipping even before taking it into the nets for thr next step in the knocking process . Has anyone experienced this before on a new bat ? Any advice please ?.. Thank you in advance. Last edited by greatminds; 11-03-2012 at 09:45 PM. |
