October 12th was an exciting day for 20 boys from Harpenden Cricket Club as they received an exclusive coaching session from Mark Ramprakash, Surrey and England player, who came down to Lockers Park School in Hemel Hempstead to offer the young cricketers his best tips on the game and advice on how to become professionals one day. Hertfordshire boys won this amazing opportunity after their coach and director of Harpenden Cricket Club Rupert Garrett took part in the nationwide competition to win an hour with Mark for his club. Mark Ramprakash is the official ambassador for the ASDA Kwik Cricket Competition and this promotion was organised in relation to this initiative, in which cricket clubs all around the country have been emailed and asked to register on the ASDA Kwik Cricket website and explain in a few sentences why their club should be the one to win.

After winning The County Championship Player of the Decade Award just a couple of weeks before, Mark travelled to Lockers Park School in Hemel Hempstead on Wednesday to spend an hour with the boys giving them his best tips on the game and passing on some of the skills which made him part of the England team and a successful Surrey player.

There are lots of cricket prizes you can win for your school or cricket club if you go to Kwik Cricket - Welcome.
