But we're not going to give credit where it's due, but instead blame the pitch and the conditions and the lack of home advantage because if a small team beats a big team, there has to be something else wrong.
You and Scaley should open a chip shop.......absolutely dire.

TBF, BW, its only a few here who have been saying that. Majority of the posters have given credit to Pak for the way they played and also for the way they did not allow England to play.
The only poster I've seen blaming the pitch is Scaley.........if he is representative of English fans views fmd I'll jump ship right now.

Why?

Just because England couldn't adjust to it doesn't mean it wasn't a good odi wicket. Heck Pakistan were cruising on it, that says something. Pak batting isn't all that flash, in case you didn't notice
Because it wasn"t a true fast flat pitch which is what is a good odI pitch and what England is used to.

The total was low so no real pressure for Pakistan and England's bowling isn''t the best part of their batting.

Pakistan did very well but this was not the pitch Morgan would have picked to face them on...

lol What? Best pitch is not defined by "the pitch Morgan would have picked to face them on".

It was a great pitch and as the Root - Bairstow partnership and Pakistani batting showed it was a perfectly good wicket for a 280 score.

Face it, Pakistan outplayed England in every facet of the game on that day and were the deserving winners, not every pitch needs to be a 340 par score ground. Also it's an ICC tournament, not a test series, there is no reason for any home advantage to exist here.

Pakistani bowlers actually made good use of the pitch. They completely restricted them from scoring runs. Eoin Morgan`s complain about the pitch being used before was invalid as they were not hand tied while bowling or batting, Pakistan batted and bowled superbly on that same pitch.

Scaly's spot on regarding the pitch ftr, Cardiff has been a **** tip for years. I don't think I've ever watched a game there and thought 'what a cracker that pitch was.'
