Pakistan doing almost everything right today (he says, ignoring the two dropped catches).

This CT has been one of the best CTs ever. Stokes to play a fighting knock like Miller and this game will be very close.

Appears to be the type of wicket that you needed one of the top four to be in at the 40th to take a toll on things. England's been happy to go harder and harder because of their batting depth, but this wicket - and some excellent Pakistani bowling - has made it hard to pick up where the last guy left off.

Bairstow and Root's dismissals were pretty crucial.

Yeah as mentioned above Root's was the key, it's a hard pitch to accelerate on but I don't think it's a super hard pitch to stay in on. Which is why 220 won't be defendable.

We are cooked here!

Willey would have been useful here.

All it's going to take is a few loose balls to get Fakhar going.

Bairstow 3 lives massive now.

Root's to blame though. After being set and looking untroubled he had to bat through. Was very poor shot

I didn't mate, but have since had a look at the scorecard. Oh to have a Mike Hendrick style performance in our side this afternoon!
It would be handy.

And I know the past is a different country, but the run-rates in that match are unbelievable.

The top order kinda failed to imagine how difficult it was gonna be for the lower order to score here.

Hales, Root, and Morgan will be rueing their shots.

Just woke up to this scorecard.

Just a reminder to the English fans, hold on, relax for now. Pakistan still have to bat on this wicket. It doesn't seem easy from the looks of it.

stokes playing quite possibly the worst odi innings of all time here.
Sunny Gavaskar says 'hi'.

Apart from that, I think you're wrong anyway. He knows that England can't expect much from Wood and Ball, so he's trying to build something, even if it's way below what they wanted at the start of play.
