Can't argue with the stats. The solution is simple. Let's just never play cricket in England again.

Loses more days play than anywhere but Manchester iirc. Should be justification for lower scg membership rates.

Mind you, living in a place big enough that one cloud doesn't wash out every match in the country has its benefits

These stats might be fun and all but the only weather stat that is relevant is:
How many playable hours of cricket are there between 10:30 am and 5:30 pm?

using auckland as a measure of rain in nz is like using hamilton as a measure of sexual health or tauranga as a measure of average age

Come November us English are going to be left feeling miserably inferior by the Australian posters here so we might as well get one up on them whilst we can

Last summer was awesome! Can't remember losing a single day of club cricket to the rain.

Melbourne is a different story altogether. It seems to rain on most days but very rarely is it heavy or prolonged. You go through 4 seasons in a single day there quite often.

Suffice it to say "number of rainy days" is clearly not a relevant statistic

People in Aus just don't seem to care that much though. Obviously its footy season but the lack of correlation between the interest from what I see in real life (much less than usual) to that on this forum (more than usual) has been surprising.

The average person in Aus never cares about cricket overseas unless it's the Ashes.
