Dhawan is so clutch in ICC events.

This is what I love about ODI cricket and something I miss in T20 cricket - the diversity of styles and approaches you can find. India has one of the slowest run rates at the start of the innings since CWC 2015 yet one of the most successful ODI sides in that period. There are just multiple ways of going about it. You can go the England way, you can go the India way. All the top sides have very different team compositions and make the best of their resources.

Sri Lanka on the other hand have the best run rate at the start, but are ranked number 7 in world cricket
    Cricket's moral worldview:

"Tragedy is when I cut my finger. Comedy is when you fall into an open sewer and die."

I seen loads questioned Sharma and Dhawan being included in the squad.

They'll be the front of the queue to priase them now. Back to back hundred partnerships.

India such a quality side. Feel like they are the closest to being good/very good 1 to 11.

Before the start of the tournament, when I said that, most people were like "oh England, South Africa, Australia are so much better". Even HB didn't agree with me when I said India have one of the best bowling attacks in this tournament

Last CT also, these two consistently gave India good starts (that was the first time we tried them out as an opening partnership IIRC).

    Good omens.

Dhawan just getting stuck after a good initial start. Needs to kick on now. Should be targetting 350+ against this SL attack.

If India don't rack up a gigantic score in this game then it might just not happen in this tournament.
