Want me to play any particular line up or do any particular gimmick? Not fussed, really.
I don't mind, if there's anything in particular you want to do then let me know. Does playing in these friendlies keep our players in form or will they lose form regardless?

How was everyone's Season 13? I really enjoyed it, it was the first of a three-season building phase for Brackenhurst and we still managed to challenge for the OD Title. We're also financially established to make a good purchase in the off-season, which will help out something huge.

Season 13 was mixed for us. We fared better than last season in Division 4 OD, finishing 4th. I can see where my team has holes and where we could become really competitive, just going to take some time. Need a better 4th/5th bowler and at least another batsman before we'll really start moving up in the world.

Is anyone doing specialist FC and 2nd XI in OD? Would I be better off doing this than the other way around, which is what I'm doing at the moment?

A decent first season. I just wish I started earlier, my best trainee is at proficient ATM, when he would be late strong or more if I started earlier in the season.

I won my OD div and have a playoff for promotion into Div 2. I could probably do with another season in Div 3, but I think two in a row is enough for now, may as well get beaten for a season to mix it up.
FC I don't care about, but I won my league.

Team-wise, my third all-rounder is coming along nicely, while I bought a specialist batsman trainee this season, as well as continuing training on a bowler. My batting's still definitely my weak point so that's what I'm going to be looking at in the future I think.

The financial rewards for FC Cricket are greater than that of OD. But FC games are for LOSERS, hence the dilemma.

1st in OD and T20 - losing only 1 game over the 2 forms.
2nd in FC in a draw-dominated league.

Watch for me being thrashed by all and sundry next year!

I would strongly (STRONGLY) suggest you give this a serious think through. I consider our sides reasonably equal (you're probably a bit better) and I got flogged from absolute pillar to post, and will be lucky if I don't have to sell a player to stave of the debt collectors thanks to losing 4 members per update for ten weeks.

But hey, go for it.

FOUR members per update? Try 6 or 7, as my horrendous end to the season has got worse and worse. The PFL changes have royally shafted me this season.

Hmmm. Fair point actually. My funds are only around 1.3 million atm (I upgraded my stadium and bought a trainee batsman this season), so spending another season in Div 3 to raise some money probably wouldn't be a bad idea. Cheers for that, will give it a think.

Already having a lol at the TM. Prices were always going to come down for the off-season, yet players starting amounts are already absurdly high.

My season was a good one as far as OD and FC were concerned. Came top of the OD ladder and am getting promoted next season. Not sure if that's good or bad though as I'm sure there are some floggings around the corner. Came second in FC so at least that gives me something to focus on and some games I can win if OD goes pear-shaped.

In 20/20 I came 7th after a promising first round of games where I was top of the ladder. There were other teams I had to play that were always going to be far too good though and 7th's not a bad result, although I probably should have got myself demoted instead.

Won FC and OD. T20 came 4th. Got a playoff for D1 in OD, got a decent chance. Not sure if I want to go up. But looking at the league I could finish in the top 6 with a lot luck. Outside the top 4, were not that strong in SL.

But the main focus is the WC and NTs.

Just got this guy from the academy...he seems like a decent prospect. Just have to work out how he'll fit into the training plans. Already training an all-rounder...could take some nets off guys like Strydom and Andre to give him a bowling, batting and keeping net...or take a net off the other all-rounder for batting and bowling(he's currently on two nets for batting and two for bowling, 1 fielding and a stamina).

Or could just try to train him up as a batsman (which is what I originally selected him as). Do his current ratings mean that if I'd chosen a bowler and given that area an extra 12 whatever they are's that he'd have been an awesome bowler?

Would like to know what the experienced battrick people on here think though

Timothy is a RH Batsman and RFM Bowler. He is an attacking player with woeful leadership skills and abysmal experience.

He currently has respectable batting form, respectable bowling form and fresh fitness.
