Finally won the toss against a bot:
End of Over 18: 131-1, runrate=7.28 Selley 4-0-27-0 Hutchinson* 43 (41 balls) Nkosinathi 70 (54 balls) Last Wicket: Strydom c. Mentz b. Kirby 17 (FOW: 31/1) Going along nicely. Strydom's in horrible form, he's a better bat than that...got out to a guy rated in the 2000's.

Game Over
Coco's Nuts: 376/3 (Duncan 103*, Greene 102*, Nkosinathi 101; Selley 1/60) Benchwarmers: 20 (Selley 7*, Weir 6; Andre 6/7, Mabudafhasi 4/13) Diappointed Nkosinathi got himself out, thought he was going to get 200. Might be able to set some new team bowling records this year

Nailbiting finish here to my game. Hamilton's strong/superb with the bat, but Nizamuddin is worthless.
End of Over 49: 216-8, runrate=4.41, reqrunrate=4.00 (219-5) Jarrett 10-0-52-3 Nizamuddin* 1 (4 balls) Hamilton 27 (29 balls) Last Wicket: Farmer lbw b. Jarrett 5 (FOW: 215/8) Edit: Code:
49.5 . Sansome to Nizamuddin Outside off, angled in from wide of the crease. Left alone with an exaggerated raise of the bat. 49.4 . Sansome to Nizamuddin Sansome bangs it in outside off and Nizamuddin shoulders arms extravagantly. On the big screen, a man in a Viking outfit tugs his beard a little further up his face. 49.3 1 Sansome to Hamilton Neatly flicked off his pads to behind square. 49.2 1 Sansome to Nizamuddin Sansome drifts onto the pads. Nizamuddin uses the pace on the ball to guide it down to fine leg for an easy single. 49.1 . Sansome to Nizamuddin 'How was that one?' asks Sansome rather politely as Nizamuddin is rapped on the pads. 'Not out, dear boy!' reciprocates the umpire. Edit again: wide! Still have a chance for the win! Code:
49.6 wd Sansome to Nizamuddin That was wider than the Grand Canyon, Sansome needs to work on that.

My skill-trade trainee has popped, so he's up for sale...
Robert Winters (2431509) Robert is a RH Batsman and RF Bowler. He is a destructive player with worthless leadership skills and woeful experience. Age: 18 Years Old Battrick Rating: 10,553 (+223) Wages: £1,681 p/w Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: worthless Batting: mediocre Concentration: abysmal Bowling: strong Consistency: competent Fielding: mediocre Destructive F, and only 18, and Mediocre batting too, so would make someone a pretty good trainee if they could spare the nets...unfortunately, I need a somewhat quicker fix, and already have a similar bowler being trained up. His consistency popped four weeks ago, BTW, so he should be about a third of the way towards Respectable. Anyone..?

Ireland took 9 - 45 against a decent team in the Cup this week. Won by 10 wickets with a brilliant display of batting from Middleton and Candappa.
Doing well in the cup, and ****e in everything else.

End of Over 18: 83-3, runrate=4.61
Waters 4-0-12-2 Byerley* 10 (13 balls) Duce 28 (47 balls) Last Wicket: Flinders c. Coutts b. Waters 2 (FOW: 67/3) Versing a bot. Last week I lost to a bot with a similar line up, I'm on a dusty pitch, with 5 seamers (sorting out the best, but have worked out Waters is one and trying to find his partner, to go with my 3 spinners) on take it easy with a terrible (second string) line up. |
