Hammarby 153ao in my game, and I'm 17/1 in my reply. Should be a reasonably easy chase, and that's promotion settled. Back to OD.III, which I think is about my team's level.

I'm pretty sure there'll be nothing riding on next week's game for any of the teams (relegation is already sorted).

In FC, my league currently looks like this:

AFC Wimbledon 124
monkey spunk mopeds 114
Eppleton CC 98
Mad Badgers 94
Withington Wonderers 90
The Tykes 89

SERIOUSLY close! Next week, I play Eppleton CC, who thrashed me earlier in the season, while The Tykes play MSM and Mad Badgers take on Wimbledon. All three games decide either promotion, relegation, or both. I've got the feeling that it's going to go down to the final session.

Waterhoose and I could very easily have fixed our two games in the middle of the season, giving us a max points win each, which would have made us favourites to avoid relegation. But we're not like that, and instead ended up with two hard-fought draws.

Yeah, he's my best bowler now. Only have him on one bowling net though as I picked up Arnison and put him on quite a few nets. Probably should give him more.

No pops, but Jeithoon hit 200,000 BTR. Should help his NT changes though he still is the 2nd worst BTR out of all the specialist seamers and equal worst experience.

Not heaps I wouldn't think, but who knows (I certainly don't ). I've seen some players go for strange prices recently. There was a rather hopeful chap who had a 24 year old with a rating of 7000 up for an opening price of 1.5 million the other day. What a bargain!

Well, he's a Proficient trainable player, albeit almost 19yo. On the downside, he's a spinner and that seems to be the cheapest bowling discipline.

In seasons gone by, you might have got some mug to shell out £1M for him. Nowadays, I'd say £500k would be a very good price (for the seller).

Right then folks, who's got an exciting match today?

I've got a winner-stays up match against Eppleton CC, which is going badly. He won the toss, on a greentop with sun today and bowling conditions for the rest of the match. That's exactly what happened at the start of the season, when I got thrashed by an innings and then some.

Looks like FC.III next season for me, to match my OD exploits. At least I'll have a chance at staying up!

****. I've been throwing FC all season, but played this game full strength so as to keep my morale up for my last OD game, which has taken a bit of a beating. Turns out I made Canning the keeper instead of Terry, so now I have a ****house keeper, and my second bowler is unavailable.

Okay, here goes!

Vincent Hirst (66419)
LF Bowler. He is a destructive player with superb leadership skills and exceptional experience.
Age: 28 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 41,353
Wages: £11,074 p/w
Stamina: proficient Wicket Keeping: woeful
Batting: woeful Concentration: feeble
Bowling: remarkable Consistency: wonderful
Fielding: woeful

I think I pulled Hirst about halfway through season 1, and he spent quite some time as my star bowler, before John took over that mantle. He's make someone a great captain and, as a destructive quick, he's pretty useful as an FC opening bowler. I've not had much joy in the higher leagues with him, hence the sale, but he should be good enough to blast out plenty of top orders in IV and below. He should go relatively cheaply due to his age, but he's probably got 5 seasons left in him.

Jimmy Hardy (985167)
RM Bowler. He is a defensive player with superb leadership skills and respectable experience.
Age: 24 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 20,150 (+266)
Wages: £6,002 p/w
Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: worthless Concentration: feeble
Bowling: quality Consistency: superb
Fielding: respectable

Bought for over £3M (when Quality really meant something!) as a 6th bowler, it's come the time where I need to bolster my 1st XI, so off he goes. He's fairly good at keeping it tight, and will make somebody a passable captain one day, if played regularly.

Both listed for £1,111,111.

Any takers? Anyone got any idea how much they're likely to go for?
