Lost my OD game today against the team coming 2nd. I wasn't expecting the win but I was hoping for a decent performance from my team and I sort of got that. The disspointing thing was if my star players performed better, I might of actually won the game and that would of been awsome for my team.

Too many starts and nothing more from my good batsmen. Two scores of 40 and another one of 30ish, if one of them got a bigger score I could of one. Bevan was solid for me today with 80 odd not out and somehow my strong/superb batsmen managed to score a quickfire 50 when my better batsmen couldn't...

I looked in the game when my opposition was 70/3 but then a massive partnership crushed any hopes I had of an upset victory. My two best bowlers went for plenty with 1 wicket between them, my other gun bowler was pathetic. But my two worst bowlers actually bowled really well for some reason and thats frustrating for me.

Really need a few OD wins in the next couple of weeks or I'll demote to division 5 OD, hoping for some pops tommorow. I Got a membership for a few months as well.

Jakester has more than 350 posts in here I reckon at least 90% are score updates or him creaming over his spinner. Then 9% can be crap advice.

International Vice-Captain
Another week of no trainee pops.

My team looks set on winning its OD Div V league. I am 0.90 points off being auto-promoted. If I go up, well it will make next season very interesting.

Some poor selection decisions this week in my 3Day league. Selected my 1st choice team against the strongest team in the league. Issue is my opposition is happy in securing a draw and will simply bat and bat for hours. Really screwed my PFL up as they racked up over 600 runs in the 2nd innings.

I think he provides a valuable service. I couldn't sleep last night because I was worried about how his team were doing.

Viagra.

Eamonn Johal - 21 yo, BT Rating=150,149, Wage=£49,102
A defensive RH batsman and a defensive RM bowler. He has mediocre leadership skills and mediocre experience. He has no preference and no trait.
He currently has superb batting form, superb bowling form and fresh fitness.
Stamina: superb Wicket Keeping: mediocre
Batting: wonderful Concentration: exceptional
Bowling: exquisite Consistency: exquisite
Fielding: strong

***ah. Goes from 2 bowling to 1 bat 1 bowl. Only one more batting level, but a couple more bowling.

Khulekani 4-0-12-0
Siems* 11 (24 balls)
Mulvaney 1 (11 balls)
Last Wicket: Fillery Run Out 0 (FOW: 16/2)

Should be able to chase down Noble One's score this time, will rage if we can't knock off his 248.

EDIT:

42.5 W Fillery to Fuller
Fantastic bowling. The arm ball beats Fuller and hits his pad right in front of middle. The umpire raises the finger straight away.
42.4 W Fillery to Naseem
Attempted flick off his legs, but makes no contact and it cannons into leg stump.
42.3 W Fillery to Carey
A quicker ball from Fillery suprises Carey as he tries to sweep, and he's caught right in front of his middle stump, lovely piece of bowling.

Fillery <33

A slow but steady partnership bringing us back in this. Now they can hopefully have a hit and get us home.

Mulvaney gone on the second ball of the 40th (or is that 41st?). Should be a close finish.

And that's the end of the match. Canterbury Chargers won by 41 runs.
Canterbury Chargers 248-8

End of Over 48: 207-10, runrate=4.31
Khulekani 9-0-31-3
Francois* 11 (19 balls)

Eh good stuff. I need to strengthen my batting more than anything to be successful against teams a bit better than mine. Vidale is my only batting trainee (with Sethuraman keeping but getting batting too), so until I can get a new batting trainee in and trained I'm pretty screwed seeing as I have no money.
