Facing the prospect of winning my Div 5 OD league. Not exactly the result I am after as my team would struggle in 95% of the other Div 5 leagues.

Kylez

State Vice-Captain
Picked up my first OD league win for this season yesterday, I've got a tough Australian Division 4 comp and my team just haven't been playing well enough. Even though I am lacking another good bowler. I am versing 8th place next week so hopefully I can beat him and with a few more wins, I should retain my place in division 4 OD for next season.

Very close game for me though yesterday. My bowlers did really well, managing to bowl my opposition out for only 111 with my gun AR taking 5 fer. Managed to win it in the 43rd over, I won by 1 wicket . I've been trying a lot of different tactics lately with my team and it looks like it kind of worked. My three worst batsmen managed to see the ball off for long enough before getting out, my best two batsmen only got starts and that worried me and I thought I was gone when my AR went for a golden. But my number 6 managed to stay around with the tail for a while before 8,9,10 were all dismissed. My tailender came in and managed to stay around for 17 balls for a magnificent 0*no, so my batsmen could hit the winning runs.

Looking forward to seeing my pops.

Only pop to the naked eye.

His cons is really going to be out of control with keeping and batting. Would like to stop training him when hes 19/20 so he's good enough for my first XI but doesn't become over expensive.

The great man is almost complete. Just one bowling pop to go 10-11 weeks on that one. Some might argue there is a case for one more consistency pop. I'll keep you posted on that one

Looking to pick up a med/prof/med pacer. Haven't been able to get any yet, but he should improve my bowling attack.

Had my fair share of bots lately, and the second XI has had a fair workout from it. From the 2nd July to the end of the season I'm playing mostly my first XI, luckily the odd bot in their to help them have a reasonable PFL. Hopefully I'll be able to promote in FC, survive in OD and finish top few in BT20 without promoting.
