Code:
Group A
Citizens Erased* 2-0 4 +2.71
Anchormen 1-1 2 0.00
-------------------------------------------
Jamees 999ers* 1-1 2 -0.10
Swamibapa Leeds CC* 0-2 0 -3.33
Anchormen should beat Swamibapa by more than Jamee manages to beat Citizens Erased, and in that case, Jamee needs to win by something like 140 runs - assuming he even books the match.
Code:
Group B
Central Districts* 2-0 4 +3.10 Q
Jaffna Jets 1-1 2 +2.41

Leverock CC* 0-2 0 -4.45 E
Jaffna and BEST Indies play off for a second round spot.
Code:
Group C
Withington Wonderers* 2-0 4 +3.04 Q
Connells Estates CC* 1-1 2 +0.54

Sad Decadent XI* 0-2 0 -2.31 E
Connells Estate and oz fan play off for the second round spot.
Code:

Magical Ponies* 2-0 4 +3.46 Q

Swingers* 0-2 0 -5.17 E
All settled. Only remains to see who will meet Withington.
Code:
Group E
Four Pillars and Poor Fillers*2-0 4 +3.23
Dynamo Morpork* 1-1 2 +0.04

Alternative XI* 1-1 2 -1.74
Saggers Mob* 0-2 0 -1.70
Alternative can put Dynamo out if they win and Dynamo lose, alternatively if they win big enough - say about 160 runs.
Code:
Group F
Lancashire* 2-0 4 +3.39
Victoria Panthers 1-1 2 +0.51
-------------------------------------------
Got Spin* 1-1 2 -1.35
Kipper XI* 0-2 0 -2.41
Got Spin probably need Victoria to lose to qualify, given their large NRR deficit. Still, Kipper hasn't given much opposition.
Code:
Group G
Beard XI 2-0 4 +4.06
Boggles 1-1 2 +0.69
-------------------------------------------
Brackenhurst 1-1 2 -0.59
Coco's Nuts* 0-2 0 -3.26
Beard XI's run rate should be more than good enough to qualify even if Boggles beat them handsomely. There's around a hundred runs between them.
Code:
Group H
Asterix XI 2-0 4 +2.95 Q
Tawonga Tigers 1-1 2 -0.70
-------------------------------------------
Cymru Gurgitaters* 1-1 2 -0.84
Opening Balance* 0-2 0 -1.23 E
Tawonga and Cymru play off for a second round place.

Teams with stars have indicated a will to join the plate tournament.

Soooo... IF I qualify, I play the loser between Whenuapai and Magical Ponies? And then in all likelihood get knocked out?

No, if you qualify you play the winner (unless Withington manage to mess up badly). Runners-up from one groups play winners in the other.

Duh! Of course!! Still - it'll be either Whenuapai or Magical Ponies and a loss for the Connells most likely.

From the rankings thread:

=3. Whenuapai CC (192)
=3. Withington Wonderers (192)
10. Connells Estates CC (178)
11. Magical Ponies (177)

I don't think it's actually possible (on paper, anyway) to have two closer 2nd round ties! However, I'll be trying my best to avoid Whenuapai for a little while longer...

Challenged the Decadents at their place, BTW.

Would have put in a better performance against you if I stood a chance of beating the Ponies, I reckon.
