In two words: Oh dear ;)

Here are your players' endearing features, listed as you did in order of decreasing BTR:
Code:
Bat  = Batting/Concentration/Stamina
Bowl = Bowling/Consistency/Stamina
WK   = WK/Consistency/Fielding

[COLOR="SeaGreen"]Thorn      19yo Bowl 6/8/7[/COLOR]
[COLOR="Blue"]Flood      23yo Bat  7/3/6[/COLOR]
[COLOR="Blue"]Haden      21yo Bat  6/6/3[/COLOR]
[COLOR="Blue"]Barton     19yo Bat  6/5/5  WK   7/1/1[/COLOR]
[COLOR="Red"]Ottley     20yo Bat  8/2/5[/COLOR]
[COLOR="SeaGreen"]Metcalf    18yo Bowl 6/7/2[/COLOR]
[COLOR="SeaGreen"]Gallagher  20yo Bowl 6/2/5  Bat  5/5/5[/COLOR]

[COLOR="Blue"]Storey     28yo Bat  6/4/2[/COLOR]
[COLOR="Red"]Softley    20yo Bowl 6/2/2  Bat  6/1/2
Lawson     18yo Bat  6/3/4
Bambatha   18yo Bowl 5/6/3
Williamson 18yo Bowl 6/1/5[/COLOR]
Blue for those worth keeping.
Green for those you might consider training.
Red for those you should get rid of.

Soz about the colour coding if you're colour blind or Trev.

Thorn is by far your best young player -- stick a bowling net or two on him.

Flood and Haden are too old to train, but stay in for their batting.

Barton. Not too bad, but I wouldn't train him as a wickie...not with those WK secondaries.

Ottley. Get rid -- he'll never amount to much with Abysmal conc. You might get some cash for him, if you're lucky.

Metcalf is worth training up a bit -- definitely one bowling net and a stamina, perhaps two bowling...but he'll be perpetually knackered if you play him in FC and OD while he's on three nets.

Gallagher's a tricky one. How skint are you? If you've got a bit of cash, I'd sell him (wait until he pops if you've already got him on nets) -- his consistency is too low for him to be a decent bowler in the near future, and he's too old for you to consider training his batting up from mediocre. If you're absolutely skint, stick a fielding net on him, perhaps a primary too, and you should be able to make some money later in the season, which you can use on buying in other players (who aren't all-rounders).

To get any all-rounders going, you're going to need lots of nets -- at least 3 (batting, bowling and fielding) for each one. I don't think you need them right now -- until you've got five usable batsmen, five bowlers and a WK, there's no competition for places so why have an all-rounder?

Virgo and Tyson are worth a net, while Jantjes is a real red herring -- if you can get hard cash for him, good.

Joseph's an interesting one...he might get somewhere with fielding and fitness nets, plus any bowling or batting you've got left over.

Storey I think is good enough to hang around the #6 position for a little while.

Lastly, Lawson's secondaries aren't good enough to warrant training.

In summary, here's how I think your training should go:

Thorn -- 2x bowling
Metcalf -- bowling, fitness
Gallagher -- fielding (maybe bowling and fitness too)
Virgo -- bowling
Tyson -- bowling
Joseph -- fielding, fitness, batting

That's ten...but they're almost all bowling! Not too bad for now, as your existing batsmen are better than your bowlers.

Just realised that I only left you with ten players -- best keep hold of Otley for now!

Also, I didn't take bowler type into account -- I think you've just got FMs and spinners, so it might be an idea to part exchange for a few others. If you're prepared to write off this season (or at least, can stay afloat where you are), it might be a good idea to decide which bowlers are the worst prospects, then sell them when they hit Proficient.

If you're prepared to wait two seasons, wait until they hit Strong -- you'll get plenty of cash for them, but you may well end up losing in the mean time if you come up against certain pitch types.

Oops -- I missed him completely.

McGrath's very close to Virgo -- 6/5/5 as opposed to 5/6/6. Personally, I'd suspect that Virgo's closer to a beast (6/6/6!), but can't be sure. I'd be inclined to keep Virgo as the trainee, but it's close.

However, I reckon he's a better bet than Tyson (6/6/4).

You've done well getting youth, but its left you with a very samey team. Once the training kicks in, you'll be able to sort the men from the boys!
