The only other genuine allrounder England have is Irving, who had miraculous bowling/exceptional batting when he was last on the market (sold for almost 20m). The SL allrounder on the market last season had masterful bowling, exceptional batting and secondaries around quality. Brammar is definitely the best allrounder listed so far.

Should have held out for him f00lins, now you're gonna have to play him.
Not too bothered, he's no better than the bowler he's replacing and he has no PFL so I should win next week's match. Just hoping the bidding goes up by a few million at least, I'd be amazed if it didn't.

N88 XI 107 All Out
Muralitharan 3/16(7), Willetts 2/10(7), Jeithoon 2/16(10), Granville 2/35(10)

Jaffna Jets 1/108(19.4)
Lucas 50(43), Quintin 45*(61)

Last time we played these guys two seasons ago they 221 against us, but we chased it down pretty comfortably in the 37th over. Looks like we have improved a fair bit in two seasons, whereas they haven't improved at all, just one level in their top order. I have to play them again in the league, so i think i might rest some more players in our league matches. Last two seasons we have got Division One sides in the next round, expecting the trend to continue.

Resting just about everyone and TIE'ing against a div III team with an exquisite spin rating. Batting first, fortunately, so this should be over quickly without much of a PFL hit. Currently 8-1 but he appears to be opening the bowling with his filler; the monsters come later. Will be glad to get the cup out of the way, really - three competitive matches a week was just too much for my squad.

Edit: yup, all out for 60. Ah, this takes me back. :)

I got lucky and got a fellow Division Three side Unbeatable Punjabi's. They usually get strong/comp batting and comp/proficient bowling. Their batting relys on three good batsmen, but it looks like they bat down to 11, their number 11 averages 50 in FC. Bowling wise they got two gun bowlers and rest look proficient or respectable. I should win given their best player has moderate PFLs and they don't have much depth in terms of quality. Only issue is whether I can play full strength three games in a row.

All over inside a total of 35 overs, and man did I get some shocking ratings - woe/woe bat, woe/woe bowl. Woe is indeed me, or it would have been had I cared about this match. Now to upgrade my stadium past the 20k mark. Woot. :)

Good luck chaminda - it really has become a challenge to put your first team out regularly now, hasn't it? Even without considering whether the FC engine is good or not (too early to tell, really), it's introduced a whole new element to the game, which can only be a good thing. Picking a team that'll win on the day is now a definite requirement, as opposed to just developing a good first XI. Fun fun.

FC hasn't really had a major impact to PFL problems unless you don't declare and score 1000 odd runs each innings. The real issue was the aftermath of BT20 IMO, that drained a lot PFL for most teams. Its just now unlike last season, without FC, teams don't have much rest to catch up.

Most of my players have been around the sublime mark all season. But a lot of that has to do with the fact that I have been resting players left, right and centre. But even the guys that have played pretty much every game are still sublime most of the time.

My opinion would be to get a resp 17yr old and train him. Those players are all solid, but wont go far. Just putting two nets on a 17yr old Resp would make him Strong by 18, even if he is very low in sub levels. If you dont have the money, sell your 18 yr olds.

But if you dont think you should do that than i suggest not training this new 18yr old and just going with what you have, he will be worse than Muirhead is now this time next season.

Second week in a row with no pops.

Won my FC, my OD and my cup game in the last week, but I'm a bit concerned about fitness. Going to try swapping out Pietersen and running with a mediocre 4th bowler in the next game to give Atkinson a rest too.

He should pop to respectable batting and quality keeping in two weeks. My ground finishes it's expansion tomorrow, going up to 16,500 if I remember correctly. I should win my next 6 or so games in a row, hopefully it will be filling by the end of the season. I've started investing in my youth academy and ITS now too, it's up to competent. What's the maximum ITS I can get off that?

Are people still going to play friendlies after they're out of the cup? I haven't so far. It doesn't seem worth it with the slight PFL hit and most of my players having poor stamina.
