I can see people points in terms of FC subsidy, most lesser sides are going to struggle to maintain decent profit. But once you build your side and members base you should earn a lot more with FC. I guess its just about being patient. Also it is not as if your wage bills are high. I remember Thamba saying he got like 50k each day for his FC match and his a below par side, so either his doing something right or just the fact he walked his league last season. And in England and Australia it takes like 3 seasons to be a decent Div 5/6 side.

From all the matches i've seen it seems a lot hard to bat in the last two innings then the first two. But i've seen a lot of matches where batting first teams get rolled pretty easierly. so many the 2nd innings of a game is the time to bat.

Swart sold for 4.1, ahahaha. Love bidding wars. Made a profit of 3 mill on 2 seasons worth of single nets.

Took the last 4 wickets for 17 runs this morning to win by an innings and 10 runs altogether. A bit annoyed with my captain though - I wanted to see if Woods could get a 5-fer, and so gave him a maximum of ten overs this morning, he took two wickets out of the first three to fall and then got taken off after five overs, and Talbot came on to replace him and got the no.11 with his third ball

Essex Eagles: 50/10 (27.4)
Wali 27 (36)
Woods 4/34 (10), Marrison 3/4 (5.4)

The Heath CC: 300/10 (119.4)
Gardiner 75 (216), Kepler 57 (130), Talbot 55 (155)
Antrobus 5/71 (28.4)

Essex Eagles: 240/10 (72)
Mears 57 (132), Wali 54 (85)
Woods 4/53 (23), Hardy 3/49 (21)

The Heath CC win by an innings and 10 runs.

****ed up the team order...... First innings all out for 146 and opposition 691-4 declared.
Currently 568-1. At least a draw i guess.
I don't know how i forgot to chose a captain as well.

Looking at my FC and OD league, it seems unlikely that I'm going to be able to stay up in either with the squad that I have. In light of that, should I sell one of my better players so I can get up to £1.6m and at least have that £80k coming in every week as interest, as I don't think I'm going to make much in gate receipts this year?

This is the player that I'm considering selling:

3. Colin Thorpe - 18 yo, BT Rating=7,185
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, superb batting form, strong bowling form, changeable
A defensive player with proficient leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: proficient Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: worthless Consistency: abysmal
Fielding: feeble

How much would I likely to get for him? And would it be worth waiting till he pops to strong before selling him?

I didn't get a chance to check the orders before the first class games to set declaration targets + the follow on option and as a result:

Coco's Nuts: 1416/10 (Nkosinathi 460; Howard 240; Farrell 160; Ridgewell 127; Greene 119)

Starkuses Army: 61/10 (Chinnery 5/5)

Coco's Nuts: 391/4 (Ashton 117)

Match Drawn!

Bugger!

I recently sold a 19yo prof/strong for 1.1m, a 19yo prof/prof for 1m and a 18yo resp/prof for 500k.

So I'm guessing that a 18 prof/med would probably be somewhere in between those. I'm not too good at predicting these things though.

Is it 1.6m or 2m that gets you 80k interest? How many financial advisor's would I need?

Another wicket down...just five wickets to get, plenty of runs to play with...and two whole sessions.

That brings a chap called Tommy Ball to the crease...and the current bowler's name?

Code:
. Batt to Ball
On the front foot, stroked out to cover.

How long before he pops, do you reckon?

If only a few weeks, then definitely wait. If he's only just Proficient, I'd sell while the market's like it is -- you should be able to get £1M for him.

Are you sure you're likely to relegate? If you play for 4th and put out pathetic reserve teams against the likely winners and runners-up, surely you'll have some hope of scraping through? Remember that everyone's in the same boat with respect to PFL right now...and there are plenty of teams who rely on star all-rounders.

1.6m with 8 FA's should get you 80k a week. Hmmm, with those prices, I may be better off waiting until he's trained up to strong, which shouldn't take too long now. If I could get 1.5-2m for him, then I could probably upgrade my stadium with any excess money I have - it'd be handy to get that done.
