Playing Gelman today. As usual Elmes is completely impossible to dismiss and the rest of his team is hopeless.

Good news on my side is that Pietersen is finally beginning to contribute with the ball after a season and a half of being dead weight on 4 nets with low fitness. Haven't seen him much with the bat this season though, because of the lack of competition. My new YP bowler did well too.

    End of Over 31: 123-6, runrate=3.97
    Martyn 9-1-35-2
    Elmes* 52 (83 balls)
    Roscoe 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Mason c. Graves b. Martyn 2 (FOW: 123/6)

Seems my plan to bowl Wikus in the last 10, so that he gets a bag of wickets every game, is working.

    Code:
    End of Over 48: 267-7, runrate=5.56
    Wikus	9-0-31-5
    Lebohang*	21 (15 balls)
    Warr	0 (1 balls)
Last Wicket: Woodgate Run Out 0 (FOW: 267/7)

    47.5 W	Wikus to Woodgate
Woodgate drives to mid on, the batsmen run a risky single and there's a DIRECT HIT! It goes to the third umpire..Out!
    47.4 W	Wikus to Whing
Nice thinking there by Wikus, bowling around the wicket with a quick ball, and it's paid off with a wicket.
    47.3 .	Wikus to Whing
Whing comes right forward here, head over the ball practically sniffing the leather. He seems to like the smell too as he holds the pose.
    47.2 W	Wikus to Gloster
Plumb, line and sinker. You won't see an easier decision today!
    Damn runouts, should have 6.

    EDIT:

    Code:
    End of Over 50: 269-10, runrate=5.38
    Wikus	9-0-31-6
    Poke 10-0-49-3
Should chase that, but who knows.

    Code:
    End of Over 50: 396-2, runrate=7.92
    Govender	10-0-91-1
    Munroe*	76 (49 balls)
    Holly	79 (61 balls)
Last Wicket: Dylan b. Govender 133 (FOW: 257/2)
Keane also made a ton, dissapointed neither went on, but that's a product of their shocking conc I'd imagine.

    Code:
    47.3 W Coppinger to Heads
Smacked the ball straight into the groin of Iwuajoku who has fallen over,
miraculously with the ball still caught in his scrotal area! Out!

Haha yeah such a gun, averaging 120 for the season.

    End of Over 50: 176-10, runrate=3.52
    Folkes 9-0-31-2
    Elmes* 85 (126 balls)

Should be an easy 9 or 10 wicket win for you knowing my bowlers.

Bowled them out for 20, Hodge taking 5-8 and Swart (opening for the first time) 4-11. Pretty comprehensive.

    Code:
    End of Over 18: 109-1, runrate=6.06, reqrunrate=5.03 (269-10)
    Arrowsmith	4-0-21-0
    Hiller*	21 (27 balls)
    Hocking	68 (52 balls)
Last Wicket: Alshaun b. Whing 19 (FOW: 38/1)
In a good position here, though we all know what will happen if i lose these two.

Hocking doing what he does best.

    Code:
    23.1 6	Whing to Hocking
BANG! Straight down the ground and into the second tier. SIX!
    19.5 6	Arrowsmith to Hocking
He's dug in the short ball and Hocking goes the full blooded pull and top edges it for SIX! Arrowsmith is furious.
    16.6 6	Gigaba to Hocking
No, No, No! The coach will be having words with him after the match, that was not the line and length to bowl to Hocking
    10.5 6	Gigaba to Hocking
An early birthday present for Hocking. What looked like a relatively simple catch in the deep has been fumbled by Whing, and the ball has gone over the rope for six runs.
    8.3 6	Miah to Hocking
     	 	Wrong length, wrong line, goodbye!
That has to be the most 6's hit by someone in my team.

    Code:
    32.3 W	Gigaba to Beaumont
Edged and out. Well that is as simple as it gets folks.
    32.2 W	Gigaba to Hocking
It was missing leg and off and hitting middle. Plumb LBW.
    I hate this ****ing game.

FFS. Last time I played these guys I TIEd and lost by only 14 runs. Now I GFI and am getting slaughtered.

    End of Over 35: 180-6, runrate=5.14, reqrunrate=7.93 (298-1)
    Paul 6-0-44-0
    Terry* 84 (78 balls)
    Griffin 68 (82 balls)
    Last Wicket: Canning c & b. Stanton 7 (FOW: 28/6)

At least these two are putting together some sort of partnership to save my NRR. Terry's first league fifty too, proud of the guy.

Facing one of the best sides in my league and doing a good job at chasing their huge total.
    End of Over 43: 276-3, runrate=6.42, reqrunrate=11.00 (352-2)
    Roberts 7-0-43-0
    Lebohang* 22 (14 balls)
    Remaketse 16 (10 balls)
Grahame made a good hundred. 29 runs from the last two overs so 11 an over is not out of the question if these two stay in.

FFS. Just realised I had Donohoe (med/woe) set to bowl instead of Tedstone. Gahhh. Really need all the NRR I can get atm.

You're after someone on the market I take it...that double-remarkable allrounder who's allegedly about to pop to double-wonderful looks alright.

    It's all over now.

    End of Over 48: 308-8, runrate=6.42, reqrunrate=22.50 (352-2)
    Mcginn 9-0-67-3
    Gordon* 0 (1 balls)
    Lebohang 40 (28 balls)

Did well considering my team's recent performances.

I thought I'd win this one, I guess I'll have to settle for 3rd place though. I'll need to be investing in a couple of bowlers for next season I think.
