Made 363/4 dec. (Cuss 136*, Whitehorne 106, Ashton 84*), they made 54 (Downer 4-23, Whitehorne 3-3, Johnson 3-11) and 10/4 (Downer 2-8, Whitehorne 2-2). Should be over within a few overs on day 2.

End of Over 58 (12 runs). Magical Ponies: 214-3, runrate=3.69

Canning 74 (95 balls)

Great session for me, put on almost 150 at more than 4 an over. Griffin looking to make the first Ponies FC century.

Edit: Knew that'd happen.

60.4 W Crouch to Griffin
Driven to Teece at short cover, brilliant catch low to his left. Excellent field placement there.

Out for 96

Edit: Gahhhh dire. Canning and Terry go in consecutive overs. Only Farmer and Tedstone left now, and I'm still trailing by 14.

Sheesh, i put shame on the Four Pillars and Poor Fillers name, my worst bowler is Strong-Feeble, though my worst batters are Respectable-Feeble and Proficient-Woeful. Although i have a Respectable-Mediocre bat being trained, not yet ready PFL wise to get into the first XI.
Hahaha, well, I'm going down the "Long-term players or fillers" path. So basically, I plan for everyone in my team who's decent to be there in a few seasons.

Heh. Must make for some great dressing-room spirit :). I s'pose though, in higher leagues that's pretty much true anyway - a proficient at high levels is going to be pretty much as rubbish as a competent, so there's little point having higher-grade filler anyway. Whereas down here in V it does actually make quite a bit of difference, since even my atrocious comp/med types manage a few wickets here and there.
Haha, yep, great team atmosphere. But that was my rationale - why spend money on a prof or a strong when they're really not going to make that big a difference? I basically won't buy someone unless they're a serious young prospect or good enough to make a big difference. It sort of means that any improvement I make is long-lasting, as opposed to me buying a strong bowler and suddenly upping my ratings, but not really having a huge impact.

After a shocking Day 1, where we bowled and only had them 8/313, we've bounced back some:

End of Over 39 (11 runs). Anchormen: 189-2, runrate=4.85
Trail by 136 runs. (Danny Buckingham XI 325-10)
Walton 4-0-27-0
Bhutia* 103 (137 balls)
Gray 82 (95 balls)
Last Wicket: Wolfenden c. Mulvaney b. Purse 0 (FOW: 0/2)

The first day was shocking. I am resting Mcmillan, Mulholland & Mullis, so I expected my bowling to be a bit substandard, but geez - 325 runs against these guys. Ralph was... solid, with 29-20-25-6 :D Today has been good, though. Bhutia with his maiden FC ton, Gray looks solid and likely to post back-to-back FC tons. All at a RR fast approaching 5.

If it was a bot you would've won the game by now. Chances are it's just a team that's a lot better than you.

Absolutely dire display from the lower middle order in my game. Was coasting at 3/221, then fell to all out for 247, 5 runs behind them. Terry (6), Farmer (2) and Tedstone (7) all crumbled. Really annoyed with Terry, need to find the right position and orders for him fast, cause he seems to be pretty useless otherwise, despite being quality/superb.

Much better performance from my team this week. Bowled out Asian All-Stars and im currently 3/304, with Mansfield and Tucker hitting their maiden FC tons.

Fairly even day I suppose, though he'd probably be the happier of the two given my first session.

Bundy All-Stars 252 (86.3)
Canning 7/25 (20), Fernando 3/52 (13.3)

Magical Ponies 247 (70.3)
Griffin 96 (171), Canning 85 (117), Burger 35 (69)

Bundy All-Stars 5/158 (62.0)
Canning 3/22 (17), Tedstone 1/37 (12), Potgieter 1/39 (9)

That's a lead of 163, really don't want to be chasing anything over 220 or so. His two best bats are out though, so hopefully we can bundle them out early on tomorrow. Should be a close game nonetheless.
