Unexpected nailbiter in my FC match, after a sporting declaration by my opponent sets me 226 to win. I'm 42 from the target, but it's just Janes and the tail...
End of Over 52 (4 runs). Beard XI: 184-5, runrate=3.54 (1st Inn: 319-10) Trail by 41 runs. (All Black and Blues 390-10 & 154-2 dec) Buckley 13-2-32-1 Oleary* 0 (9 balls) Janes 55 (63 balls) And Oleary goes as I type that. Probably not going to be that much of a nail-biter after all, then. Edit: and Janes. Way to jinx the match. Last edited by Dead Badger; 15-01-2009 at 08:37 AM. |

Huh. At 8 down still 28 short of my target, I'd written today's match off as a dead loss. I come back to discover the tail has wagged, and that I've made it home by one wicket thanks to a personal best score of 12 from my number 10.
They really did tweak the death overs code, eh. No way that would've happened before. Nice. |

I've thrown away a 12 point lead and looks like I'm going to lose the Ranji. Not impressed. Lost a game marginally on a TIE couple of weeks ago, when I intended to GFI but circumstances got in the way.
That mistake may well have cost me the title!

None from five in the last handful of games. Went from equal first to sixth. Another playoff and watch me get the the only D3 side on par with us. Wish I could fast forward four seasons when Sama is gun with bat and ball. Really lacking a 5th bowler and 3rd strike bowler and a couple top bats.
