Was hoping for major poppage today, but only got the one:
4. Rabiya Candappa - 19 yo, BT Rating=30,927 RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, superb batting form, proficient bowling form, energetic fitness. A steady player with strong leadership skills and mediocre experience. Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: worthless Batting: wonderful Concentration: strong Bowling: worthless Consistency: abysmal Fielding: woeful EDIT: If you give a player a fielding net, is that better for Concentration than a 2nd batting net?

Yes; batting only contributes once to conc, no matter how many nets you have on it.
I just pulled my best-ever YP, with 0 ITS: Carlos Mullins (2401840) LH Batsman, LM Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, fresh fitness. A destructive player with respectable leadership skills and worthless experience. Plays For: Beard XI Nationality: England Age: 17 Years Old Battrick Rating: 5,957 Wages: £860 p/w Stamina: feeble Wicket Keeping: worthless Batting: respectable Concentration: respectable Bowling: worthless Consistency: abysmal Fielding: worthless He even has a good name. Lots of nets for him, then, since I still haven't been bothered to buy a new trainee. |

RH Batsman, RF Bowler, superb batting form, competent bowling form, sublime fitness. A defensive player with feeble leadership skills and woeful experience. Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: woeful Batting: quality Concentration: respectable Bowling: worthless Consistency: worthless Fielding: worthless Greg Ferrell - 22 yo, BT Rating=61,956 RH Batsman, RM Bowler, mediocre batting form, superb bowling form, energetic fitness. A steady player with abysmal leadership skills and respectable experience. Stamina: proficient Wicket Keeping: woeful Batting: worthless Concentration: worthless Bowling: sensational Consistency: exceptional Fielding: worthless Will shift Ferrell's stamina net to one of my 18yo trainees now, who will both be wonderful by the end of next season. Need to start properly looking for 2 all-rounders, one to replace my 27yo current 1 and another to improve my spin rating so needs to be sensational+. Not going to be easy.

End of Over 27 (17 runs). Central Districts: 159-3, runrate=5.89
Thornley 11-0-76-0 Keane* 81 (70 balls) Dylan 56 (37 balls) Last Wicket: Hodgkiss Run Out 12 (FOW: 46/3) 26.6 4 Thornley to Dylan Dug in short by Thornley and Dylan rocks back and nails it through the leg side for four. 26.5 4 Thornley to Dylan Thornley over pitches and is creamed through the covers for four by Dylan. Compact little player is Dylan, I've always been impressed watching him bat. And that's his fifty! Well played. 26.4 4 Thornley to Dylan Dylan smashes it past point and picks up four runs! 26.3 4 Thornley to Dylan Jabbed into the gap between slip and gully and the ball races away with two men chasing in vain. Dylan not hanging around.

Had a great win against Respite CCC today (thanks, Trev). Put on a partnership of 100 for the 8th wicket to get me over the line. Candappa and Batty pairing up to demolish his weak backup bowlers. A very un-battrick like victory.

Well doneHDS, our league's going right down to the wire! I'd say we've both got an equal chance of both winning it or ending up in a relegation playoff. Though I still have even a theoretical chance of going down automatically, an embarrassment from whichh I think your two extra points save you!
Best of luck with it mate, (except for on 23rd!) - You'd get pretty good odds on that match being a dead rubber at the moment! Later, Trev |
