Just bought this guy. Going to stack nets on him because I don't need him to bowl for a while yet and his the youngest guy in my team by 4 or 5 years. Eventually hope to slot him into the my 5th bowling position which is my only weakness in the bowling lineup. Will need to find a batting trainee prospect too

Mid-season update is quite positive actually for me.

Unbeaten in India's Ranji Trophy having put away most of the contenders this year due to a combination of my improving side but also due to PFL management not being great on behalf of the other managers. So that's quite exciting, Cup run is progressing. Knocked out last year's winner a few rounds ago so if I can manage my PFL I may be in with a chance of a double.

Training wise, it's a little batsman heavy at the moment with 3 batsmen being trained (one of whom is a WK) and one bowler. If I had the time, I'd trade my exceptional-wonderful spinner for another decent all-rounder as I have about 5m plus whatever I get for selling my spinner. Also have a 28yo all-rounder whom I probably will sell at the end of the season as want to at least get some money back for him before he tails off.

Other than that, I've won 5/5 in FC using the dross but I chucked last season so I'm in Div V and having a laugh.

All is good.

My activity tailed off cos I don't have the net in my temporary accom that work provided so don't have time to log on to CW at all anymore. Plus the banter has dropped off a little. Really enjoy the CW Cup though, that's probably the highlight of the season up until now.

Few chewed nails to come as the season progresses I imagine. How's everyone else doing then?

Just noticed I played (and lost) a BT20 match today, with the following ratings:

Code:
		Beard XI	Padding Up
Top Order:	exceptional	proficient
Middle Order:	superb proficient
Lower Order:	abysmal woeful
Seam Bowling:	sensational	proficient
Spin Bowling:	remarkable	strong
Fielding:	feeble feeble
Hadn't even realised it had started. Rubbish.
