Mixed week - lost in FC chasing 170, which was annoying, but have triumphantly won my first Div III OD match, and that's definitely the way round I would've wanted it. Going to bin FC, I think; too boring to watch, and too difficult to stop your captain being a complete moron. Might cause some morale problems, but the PFL will be worth more.

Ouch. Also, how many teams are there called variations on "Norfolk En Chance"? It's got to be in the low hundreds.

Lost my One Dayer by 1 wicket. Opposition had three players with over 150k battrick rating and two of those were bowlers. Demolished my top order leaving me about 40-7 before Bond and Batty and the infamous Connells batting depth put on a hundy partnership.

Once I got through Cleaver, their 150k opener, their batting collapsed from 173-4 to 175-9. Just couldn't take that last wicket.

Also made the mistake of not replacing Cooper, who I'd sold with a batsman. In came Skalding who's a #9 at best. Could have made all the difference.

I should probably set orders next time instead of opening the batting with a feeble batsman. 8|

My morale is pessimistic, I'm ****ed. Suppose I'll have to try in FC now.

Hmm, I may be wrong but even if you GFI'd you probably would've still lost, just by less, though.

Meanwhile, in my cup match. Innings break...

    End of Over 12: 11-10, runrate=0.92
    Gleeson 1-0-1-1
    Davies* 1 (4 balls)

I can't remember the last time, if ever, we made it past round 2 of the cup. Drawing a bot helps itbt.

Got a frustrating YP. I've been trying for a bowler I could train up to be my 5th (eventually 4th getting ahead of Pullers) bowler. Once I get that out of the way, next step is a new keeper. So my YP kind of was annoying. 12 bowl, 12 cons, 11 stam:

Really need to sort out getting a new trainee; my three full-ITS pulls were med/med crap again (well, one was comp/med crap), and my current trainees are mostly coming to the end of their cycles. Hopefully be a bargain about in a week or so once the early-season wallies have spent all their cash.

    Two pops:

Buckley to Quality consistency -- now Superb/Qual batting, Qual/Qual bowling.
Isaacs to Mediocre consistency -- just Comp/Med bowling.

Buckley's due to pop soon in both primaries, which'll complete his training -- he's only 21yo, so will stick as a 5th bowler all-rounder for a long long time.

Isaacs is just a YP who I'm training to Respectable then selling. Hopefully it'll happen next week.

Should pop in batting, bowling, cons and fielding soon.

Lost to a bot in the cup. Played a side full of meds and a couple resps and comps. Turns out you need more to beat bots. Their form didn't help things either half were near worthless.

What a weird team that is. If I'd been playing for three and a half years and was in divs V and VI, I hope I'd have the decency to quit out of shame.
