And that's the end of the match. Jaffna Jets won by 8 wickets.
kaiser chiefs 117-10 Jaffna Jets 120-2 Won my first match in Division Two this season. Against a former Division One side and Cup winner. Granted they are only one of two sides that have worse batting then me in my division. Just saw the SL NT squad, was about to blow my load, until I realised how crap they are compared to the rest of world. Could push for Jeithoon inclusion if I want to, he is better then a couple all rounders and spinners. Can't be ****ed though. He will make it one day. EDIT: Hodge is gun btw 4/22 (6.5)

Been put in on a H+F on a humid day, by a team with some very solid quicks. Unusually, Liebenberg has made it past the first 10 overs; usually he's only good for seeing off about 20 balls. Think I'd like him to get out now, though, and let the others crack on a bit.
End of Over 12: 50-0, runrate=4.17 Hick 1-0-4-0 Liebenberg* 25 (44 balls) Bromby 25 (28 balls) |

Won off the last ball of the game. Puts me at the top of the table.
Sydney Swans won the toss and elected to bat. First Innings of: Sydney Swans Total (50.0 overs, 3 wickets) 276 Gordon 2-42 First Innings of: oz fans XI (go for it!) Total (50.0 overs, 4 wickets) 279 Northrop 109(152) Mohan 108(108) Grahame 38*(33) I've got a winnable cup game on Sunday as well.

End of Over 37: 205-5, runrate=5.54
Talbot 7-0-54-0 Cadmore* 103 (111 balls) Elson 32 (36 balls) Last Wicket: Tate c. Kepler b. Hamed 42 (FOW: 110/5) In a spot of bother here against a bot that I have taken too lightly in the past as well. If I've managed to do it again, I'll be pretty annoyed with myself. My batting lineup is pretty strong though and it's a sunny day on a cracked wicket so hopefully I'll be able to chase anything around 300 without too much trouble. Bit dodgy though. |

End of Over 2: 15-0, runrate=7.50, reqrunrate=5.08 (258-10)
Adams 1-0-10-0 Kepler* 10 (5 balls) Hay 5 (7 balls) Hardy and Hamed did a good job in the death overs and we've made a bright start. Trainee Hay made an unimpressive debut in FC this week so I'm hoping he can do well today. Edit: Hay out for 5. Super. Last edited by Spitfires_Fan; 27-06-2008 at 07:11 AM. |

Finished it off for a solid if unspectacular win:
And that's the end of the match. Beard XI won by 99 runs. Beard XI 298-7 (50o), Bromby 152*, Platt 81 Penfold's Eyebrows 199-10 (40.4o) Oleary 3-28, Piercy 3-38. Should see me top on NRR. All going rather nicely so far. |
