If I'm going to train an all rounder he's going much, much further than remarkable. Remarkable will be redundant (if you want to go anywhere) within 2 seasons.
I really don't think so -- with the current wage structure and monies in (i.e. assuming FC isn't a huge money-maker), even the top teams are going to have room for a Remarkable or two. Especially Remarkable/Remarkable all-rounders, who are going to be very useful in taking some of the strain from teams' star players.

As a top player (e.g. your top two batsmen and bowlers), Remarkable is already redundant in Div II England, possibly even Div III.

As DeadBadger pointed out, I managed a stonking win on Friday, taking me clear of auto-relegation for the first time this season. I'll be basing my end-of-season strategy on getting a play-off.

Sunday's CW Cup match against Got_Spin went better than expected -- McCammon's defiant 96no from 100 balls was a superb innings, but he was badly let down by his teammates, who managed just 56 runs between them.

My three-day stint at the Great British Beer Festival was great -- it's one hell of an event to be involved with. Now I've got to get used to actually _paying_ for my beer again :(

I'm off shopping for some pre off-season bargains (relatively speaking), in the hope of turning a fast buck for minimum effort. So far the main thing I've learnt is that there really aren't many names to go around in BT India, are there? I ended up looking at a match contested by 5 Alshauns, 4 Hameds, 3 each of Mohammed and Islam and then some randoms. Must be confusing as all hell to follow those matches.

Not very realistic, either, seeing as back in real life Sreesanth seems to want to corner the world market on names.

Also, just the one pop from my lot today -- Gibb to Wonderful bowling. He's got Remarkable+ cons, and he's cautious RFM.

He's now in the clear as my second best bowler, ahead of the attacking Hirst and Brooker, but two levels behind the steady John.

He's been taking quite a few wickets, notably with the new ball -- that's not something I really expected when I started handing him the fresh cherry.

I'll train him to Exceptional and leave it at that. Despite him being only 21, and therefore trainable up to Sensational, I don't see too much benefit in having a super-bowler who's cautious. I need wickets, dammit!

Cautious won't stop them taking wickets. See Summers.

Downer seems to take quite a lot of wickets for a cautious player as well, have no real basis for comparison though.

Only pop:

11. Junior Harewood - 19 yo, BT Rating=46,337

A destructive player with feeble leadership skills and feeble experience.
Stamina: proficient Wicket Keeping: worthless

Got him on a fielding net again as I too many nets and not enough trainees, will keep it till he reaches remarkable fielding. He should be pretty good next season, will pop to wonderful in a few weeks.

BT cricket well and truly trouncing the RL version for me ATM. My RL team managed to break a 29 year record for the highest team total in a blind cricket Cup final, 217/7 in 30 overs, only to lose it again in three hours time, as our opponents rattled up 218/5 in the penultimate over - Lemmings, the lot of us! Six current and former internationals in our side…and we Choke! Mind you, didn't help that our keeper was knocked out when he took a full-blooded sweep in the mush, and our 6Ft10 fast bowler was stretchered off to A&E with a broken shin. All in all I've had better cricketing days!

Meanwhile in the world of virtual cricket the Gurs closed to within NRR 1.16 of 1st place Whos Your daddy, after rattling up 300/4 against Victoria Drivers and dispatching them for 126. The news could have been even better, except Whos Your Daddy held their nerve to chase down 304 in exactly 50 against 4th place Veets.

On Friday The Gurs face already-relegated Everton_Aggro, whilst Whos Your Daddy have an equally easy match against second-bottom, but not quite as inept, Chloe Crusaders. Reckon I can take another bite out of their lead, but I'm pretty certain it's all going to go down to the last round!

A nice win over Rodgie in the CW Cup too, to set up a first ever meeting with Adam. I hope Cuss, (A BT childhood hero of many of my team), gets a century, but the Gurs close out a tight run chase (I can Dream!)

One pop, and Noon becomes my first player through the 50K BTR barrier. Actually it must have happened last week, but I didn't notice then.

Will take one of Wilde's bowling nets from him temporarily, to test out Jeffery's batting and bowling sub-levels. His wages would suggest that he's pretty close to Sup in something.

Tar Scaly, though I'm not sure how much you'll be able to work out, because of his ****ed up form. A career average of 70 with the bat and 30 with the ball would suggest that he's higher up batting, though given that the net I'm going to allocate him is already a bowling, I'll probably start off with that.
