Jaffna Jets 5/185(20) Quintin 79(51), Muralitharan 38(22)

lost to

Bedroom Slippers 2/186(19.2) Jeithoon 2/16(4)

Batting: Superb/Respectable, Bowling: Superb/Proficient

First time i got a superb seam rating and first time in a year i got superb top order. Jeithoon really starting to put together some dominate bowling performances. Still have a slight chance of making it to the 2nd round if i win tommorrow.

Code:
#	Player Batting Bowling
3	Quintin Quality/Strong (10.5)
2	Lucas Quality/Superb (10.8)
4	Ellis Quality/Proficient (10.3)
7	Clayton Quality/Respectable (10)	Superb WK
8	Muralitharan Quality/Respectable (10)	Quality/Respectable (10) LS
9	Obeysekera Respectable/Feeble (6.3)
5	Allison Respectable/Feeble (6.3)
6	Sishayi Medicore/Abysmal (4.3) Quality/Mediocre (9.5) LS
32	Matharu Abysmal/Mediocre (2.8) Strong/Strong (9) LFM
22	Jeithoon Abysmal/Mediocre (2.8) Exceptional/Superb (13) LFM
10	Willetts	Worthless/Worthless (1) Quality/Respectable (10) RM
Hitting the crossroads with my side. I want to train Quintin, Clayton, Ellis and Willetts all to remarkable in their main skill. But i also want to improve Muralitharan and Sishayi secondaries. I probably got enough depth but I lack match winners, and Muralitharan in particular is showing signs that he could win matches for us in the future, with both bat and bowl. So it might be time to really flood him with nets.

Looking to get back into D2 in 2-3 seasons time.

2 pops:

Doug Croft - 21 yo, BT Rating=52,413
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, lively
A cautious player with superb leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: worthless Concentration: worthless
Bowling: exquisite Consistency: superb
Fielding: worthless

Greg Ferrell - 18 yo, BT Rating=18,112
RH Batsman, RM Bowler, superb batting form, strong bowling form, lively
A steady player with abysmal leadership skills and feeble experience.
Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: woeful

Time to get Crofty up to masterful now, can't be bothered training him too much in stamina because I'm not done with his primary yet, nor his consistency either for that matter.

No skill pops and just some experience pops on a couple of duffers.

However my PFLs are looking good, virtually everyone on sublime before my match starts (in which only a couple of my decent players who aren't being trained are playing).

Wtf... I reduced a team that racks up woeful and abysmal ratings to 2-4, then Summers gets hit for 17 in an over...

Anyway should be over soon

End of Over 6: 35-6, runrate=5.83
Summers 3-1-26-3
Mcandrew* 3 (1 balls)
Hawkins 17 (11 balls)

Last Wicket: Keeling c. Marshall b. Summers 4 (FOW: 32/6)

One pop today:

17. Scott Horsfield - 21 yo, BT Rating=2,560
LH Batsman, LFM Bowler, woeful batting form, abysmal bowling form, changeable
A destructive player with abysmal leadership skills and worthless experience.
Stamina: woeful Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: abysmal Concentration: abysmal
Bowling: respectable Consistency: feeble
Fielding: woeful

Was just training him for the pop (training for a stamina pop as well) and was going to sell on, but he's only my 2nd respectable bowler, so might see how he goes in a few games first.

Meanwhile, my team is batting ridiculously slowly in 20:20. Only just brought up the 50 in the 10th over

My batsmen obviously had coffee laced with speed in hip flasks, because they managed to get to 156/3 in the end, which against a considerably better side is no mean feat. Getting flayed by their batsmen now but well pleased with our performance.

All over here, dismissed the oppos for 33, and chased it down in 3.4 without losing a wicket. Just waiting for fitness levels to appear, before deciding who plays tomorrow's dead rubber. Does anyone know how the draw for the KO stages is going to work? I seem to recall that it was going to be drawn by random, but I can't find where I read that now. If that is indeed the case, given that I've already qualified, I might just field a totally second string side tomorrow, and bugger the consequences.

Two pops:

Matthew Akhtar (1282894)
LH Batsman, LH Spin Bowler, strong batting form, superb bowling form, changeable
A destructive player with worthless leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Plays For: Cymru Gurgitaters
Nationality: England
Age: 17 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 8,395 (+360)
Wages: £654 p/w
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: abysmal
Batting: *strong* Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: worthless Consistency: worthless
Fielding: abysmal

Alton Staveley (374819)
LH Batsman, LM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, changeable
A cautious player with mediocre leadership skills and competent experience.
Plays For: Cymru Gurgitaters
Nationality: England
Age: 23 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 33,573 (+679)
Wages: £7,714 p/w
Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: abysmal
Batting: remarkable Concentration: *quality*
Bowling: abysmal Consistency: mediocre
Fielding: feeble

In my top XI, there's noone from the starting squad, and only two YPs, (co-incidentally the two players above), but in the other eleven, there's four or so original players and the rest are failed Yps who I haven't yet been persistent enough to sell.

The Heath CC: 156/3 (20) Thorpe 75 (45), Grant 60 (57)
champos: 157/4 (17) Hardy 1/32 (4)

Not a bad effort in the end, if I'd had decent TFL and had played GFI it might have got quite interesting. As it is, very pleased with Thorpe's batting, he's coming on nicely.

Should easily win tomorrow so will probably end up with 3 wins and 4 losses.
